House - Shichimi Togarashi - Japanese Mixed Chili Pepper 0.63 Oz

I LOVE this stuff! I buy it regularly just for my use but since I’ve been using it my son, his girlfriend and her family have all started using it. The blend has an earthy, savory flavor. The heat is similar to very fine crushed red peppers. It’s much easier to control the depth of the heat because of how finely it is crushed. I don’t detect salt flavor at all. It’s a bit pricey, not horribly, and well worth it.

Good and spicy. This adds a good taste to my foods.

A must for seasoning Japanese meals. Not too spicy, but good flavor.

It's a very small package for the money. It is very powerful/spicy so a little does go a long way and I can't imagine using this up quickly. It is very good on many different foods but not as flavorful as I thought it was going to be.

This is my favorite shichimi togarashi. I've tried S&B, I've tried some from shops in Kyoto. I have even made my own! But I keep coming back to this. It has a good balance of flavors, particularly the citrus and spice. The only thing about buying it here has been a localizing sticker. I ended up yanking off the whole wrapper to remove it, but products can look better without labels, anyway. 😅

I love this stuff. I use it to make freaky edamame and it turns out amazing every time!

Tasty pepper. Bottle is waaaayyyyy to small for the price. Really it’s 2.5 for that reason.

Great condiment to use in salads, soups on meats and fish. A little sprinkle goes a long way. Highly recommend and will buy again.
