I purchased this carpet and upholstery cleaner after thorough research and reading numerous reviews, and I’m very pleased with my decision. It cleans carpets effectively and did a great job on my sofa too. That said, I found the spot-cleaning head better suited to surfaces like stairs rather than the curved surfaces of furniture. Despite this, it still managed to refresh my sofa, which now looks and smells much cleaner. You could potentially use it to clean car upholstery - and I certainly plan to try - but I am going to look to purchase a narrower head if I can.The cleaner is somewhat heavy but remains easy to manoeuvre around the house. The long hose made cleaning our staircase straightforward, and the electric cord is a good length, allowing me to move around a room without needing an extension cable.The kit includes a small bottle of detergent, but I recommend purchasing a larger bottle if you plan to do extensive cleaning. Our carpets took a full 24 hours to dry completely. I plan to re-clean during the warmer summer months when drying will be quicker. I was quite shocked by the colour of the water extracted - it really showed how much unseen dirt was trapped in the carpets!Overall, this cleaner is a solid choice for deep cleaning carpets and upholstery. Just be prepared for the drying time, which can vary depending on carpet thickness, humidity, and ventilation, and consider the weight when moving the machine around. Its cleaning power and ease of use make it a worthwhile investment for maintaining a fresh home environment.Finally, it is fairly noisy so I recommend wearing earphones to help reduce the noise especially if you're planning to use it for an extended period of time.

Wow, this machine is amazing, bought it to replace an older vax which broke. This one is far superior it mixes the solution into the water as you go so no over doing the amount you use. Large tanks means it just keeps going without emptying and the scrubbing heads seemed to get a better cleaning result. Love that you can put it on rinse mode to reduce the sticky feel I used to get with my old one. Cleaning is a dream, as it all comes apart so no longer am I poking away with a long pointy stick to get dog hairs from the nozzle. It is heavier than my old one but not difficult too use. I haven’t used the hose attachment for stairs or sofas yet but it looks strong and comes in a handy storage bag.

Bought this to replace an older VAX machine that was leaking from a crack under the water tank, it was unfixable, and I was unable to source a replacement part. So this arrived: it is an all moulded plastic item, clever design, and once assembled, loaded up with water and solution, off I went. It is quite heavy, and requires concentration and patience, but the results are very good. The rotating brushes do a good job. I deep cleaned three large dirty rugs with one filling of 4 ltrs warm water to 160mls solution. The large amount of dirt in the water was testament to the efficiency.Cleaning the machine afterwards was tricky, you need to be careful when taking it apart. So far so good, time will tell how long the plastic bits last, but there is a two year guarantee so fingers crossed!

It was a very good carpet washer, can hold a lot of water, a lot more than my past carpet washer couldUnfortunately though, as nice as it was, it was a bit too heavy and bulky for me so I did sadly have to return the machineIt was easy to push and pull back which is something my old carpet washer wasn’tIf you want something very good and you’re fine with it being heavy and big then this is a really good option

I don't leave many reviews, but just to quickly say this product is absolutely amazing. I bought the original vax professional/premium shampoo to go with it. My carpets came out like new. I went over each section twice, left it for an hour (whilst slightly damp), and then twice again. I 100% recommend this machine and shampoo

Good quality and easy to use ,gets deep down clean and a decent size and holds quite a bit of water I would highly recommend this product

Great price and does exactly what it says on the box. The quality of the clean is outstanding with carpets smelling fresh and water collected easily by the device. Despite thinking I had clean carpets, I was certainly surprised by the colour of the water it collected!

Perfect . Brings carpet up like new with little effort . Dry within an hour. I used the quick mode and could see dirt in water after. Did not realize how much dirt was in carpet . There is also a deep clean mode which I have not tried yet. Great buy. Cheaper than hiring someone to do it .
