12V Timer Switch - Programmable, DC/AC/Solar Battery Powered | 12 Volt JVR Timer Relay

Used several of these timers on my solar project. They keep accurate time and switch devices in as I've programmed. Very easy to program.Good quality.

Wow I really like this. I replaced a light switch with a timer motor that would turn the light switch on and off to exercise a backup propane generator. This is so much better and does not need batteries. Very budget friendly. Easy to wire. Its been working well for the last year.

When trying to setup the device, the MINUTE digit wouldn't display correctly. The Day and hour were correct. I just wasn't able to set a time for example to be 11:15. I am returning the product and have asked to have another one sent to me. I'll update this review when I receive it. One star so far.UPDATE: The replacement arrived the following day (haven't even sent the first one back yet ... good job, Amazon. It works fine. The programming works. It would be nice to be able to set the entire week, for the same ON/OFF schedule rather than repeating it 7 times. Still, a nice little device that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Updated to 4 stars.

These are really slick & reliable. I have two - one that I've had for over a year and another I just received. They state up to 16 on/off programs but my new one actually has 28! I use one for cycling 12v power to my wifi router for a nightly reboot. The other I use to cycle 120v power to my laser holiday lights because the laser lights otherwise only stay on for 6 hours. I took the holiday lights down last year and one year later I took them out of storage and the programs and clock were still held in memory and still accurate. As noted the battery keeps the memory but the relay only operates when 12v is applied on the power terminals. But you can cycle off the 12v power as I do with my holiday lights at dawn, then when 12v is reapplied (at dusk) the timer operates the relay again on the set schedule. One thing the manual does not mention is that you can also adjust the seconds for each on/off time. To set seconds, when you are in program mode for any on/off sequence, just press the "manual button" to advance the seconds - it shows the seconds on the screen, in addition of course to day, hour, and minute. So for the router I use just one program set to on at 2:00:15 and off at 2:00:00 - therefore off for just 15 seconds at 2:00 AM. Really slick, love these!

Worked perfectly with my 12 volt battery powered Christmas tree setup. Used in conjunction with a solar panel and a deep cycle battery to keep my 20 ft Christmas tree running all night long, every night during the Christmas season.

Instructions are not very complete. Switch from 24 to 12 hr, not there. Setup with diagram included ran the display, but didn't turn on or off. Also tried wiring like many users from YouTube. None worked. There are a lot of similar or different versions of this. None have the same setup. Now there is no display, red light is on, and my device is running 24/7. Probably return. This is controlling a small aquarium DC pump from a 12 volt battery with a MPW controller & a small solar panel. Thks

I bought this to control a automatic chicken coup door I built, it does the job without breaking the bank. It has been running for about one week without any issues.The battery backup feature is great, the unit will not lose time or programming. The relay (contact) will not function on battery power, just for your information.I read some reviews before purchasing, some people had problems figuring out the wiring and programming. I had no issue with either on the unit I received, the terminals are clearly labeled on the back of the unit. Crimp-on spade terminals are needed for the wiring connections, there are no set screw seizures on this unit. The programming is really easy and intuitive, I only had to glance at the manual once. This unit has an automatic locking feature that cannot be disabled as far as I can tell, in order to make any programming changes you must first press the C/R button four times. This may be annoying for some, but I think it helps prevent inadvertent changes to your schedules/times and it only takes a second to unlock. There is a light on the front to indicate contact closure, a nice feature to know the relay is functioning at a glance.

Extremely useful, well designed timer. I use this to manage electrical devices in my solar-powered outhouse. at my weekend cabin in the woods. I use multiple schedules to manage the fan and motion-detector lighting differently on weekdays, Fridays, and weekends to enhance battery performance and to optimize composting.The internal rechargeable battery and the orange on-indicator light are particularly useful features. It is a solid device with a good four point panel mount. I like the timed locking feature because it prevents guests from accidentally reprogramming the timer or turning off automatic setting.The timer comes with four short wires with blade connectors. Longer wires, perhaps eight inches, would have been more useful, and I would not have needed to make up my own.Programming is convenient and not difficult, but it requires thought and attention to create a logical schedule without errors if you are making more than a few entries.

Good little timer. Although, I have only used it in the manual mode.

These work well but the instructions indicate that they will “lock” after 30 seconds of inactivity. The first version of the timer didn’t do this, not sure why they added it, it’s totally unnecessary. Anyway, in the instructions it says to hit “manual” 4 times before it comes out of lock mode. Don’t worry, it will unlock, just not with the master button. Use the “C/R” button to unlock and it will be fine. Other than the instructions, it works well and have endured outside for a full year in Canada with zero issues.

Excellent little timer relay switch. It does exactly what I wanted and expected. Couldn't work any better. The timer clock only draws .0022 ma. and the relay switch is good for 10 amps Totally satisfied. Hope it's good quality and durable.Hubert
