This product will require assembly (did not take long) and is not light as a feather (like aluminum or plastic) because materials are made of steel. The self-drilling screws do require a little muscle since you're drilling into metal but just take your time and don't over tighten. Set my drill at 15 for the torque breaking point. With that said, this product is as advertised and I'm happy with the purchase. Looks great, feels sturdy and long lasting. I will note the small top caps for the actually gate door were missing but not a big deal as far as I'm concerned (may contact the manufacturer) but still worthy of a 5 star rating. Very impressed with the sturdiness of this gate and the ease of assembly. The finished product is much nicer looking then welded gates I have elsewhere on my property. When I had some questions for the Company they were very easy to reach and wonderful to deal with. I highly recommend this product and will definitely purchase from them again.

We purchased this hopeful it would work as a gate for the "gangway" between our house and our immediate neighbor. We live in an old St. Louis neighborhood and the houses are right next to one another with just about a 5' path between.I'd received some bids from fencing contractors, two of whom said they specialized in installing such gates in the city and didn't get any quotes for less than $2,000 to install something as simple as this gate. After a ton of searching online, I figured I'd give this a try.It arrived pretty quickly. Much of the paint was scratched on the larger posts upon arrival, but that didn't bother me too much (but it hasn't started rusting yet either ; talk to me a year from now about this). It was very easy to assemble the initial gate structure. If you don't already have one, a cordless impact driver and a deep-well 3/8" socket/driver will be your friend here.Setting the posts into concrete was more challenging and took me several hours. The included wedge anchors for setting the post flanges in concrete are really cheap looking and seem undersized. I purchased other, more substantial ones. Also, the post flanges are just short little things the posts set over the top of. It would add a ton of stability, at least for my application, if they were designed differently (like longer).Also, sourcing brackets to attach the post edges to the masonry walls on either side of the gate was something of a challenge, but I think I've got that figured too.Overall, this seems like a good product at a fantastic price. I think it's going to work out as well as I could have hoped upon ordering.

This gate is well worth the price. It looks and feels like expensive wrought iron but is metal (aluminum). It is strong a does a terrific job at keeping my dogs securely in their fenced in yard.

The price is just what you get... the gate is not very sturdy and over time the latch may be come less effective as well as the snapback feature (I've had it installed about a month) does not work on it anymore.In addition the easy assembly works well if you have a drill and bits to assemble all the little pieces. I wish the small parts would have come assembled. (latch, hinges,)

Extremely nice fence and easy to assemble

The product I ordered was improperly advertised. I purchased a 4' x 5' aluminum gate. I received an ACTUAL dimension of only 42 inches wide, not 48 as advertised. The initial solution the company presented me with was to purchase more material in order to extend the width. Ridiculous. I requested a return, and that part of the process was smooth, getting the return shipping label. UNTIL, I realized that they don't offer free returns (OK), but that this company is located in Canada, so I'd be paying for an irregular shaped object, weighing close to 60 pounds, to be shipped internationally at my own cost. Then I was also informed that they charge a restocking fee, which ranges from 19% up to 50% of the original item cost. OUTRAGEOUS! The product itself was in perfect condition, but the box was opened (obviously) and I'm sure they would have found a way to claim damages. In total, I spent $220 on a gate that was improperly advertised, shipping costs of unknown amount, plus a restocking fee of up to $110....I'd be lucky just to break even. Perhaps that's what they are counting on. Doesn't look any different to their back office whether I'm satisfied or not, a sale is a sale. CAVEAT EMPTOR - Stay away from XCEL

I gave it 5 stars all around, the assembly was easy For its normal size but I customized the gate to fit a 53” wide x 36” opening, it came great, the only thing I wasn’t happy about was the fit of the gate post over the floor mounting plates. The post were sloppy and I had to wedge shims between the post and the plates vertical shaft, I also set numerous self tapping screws to secure the post plum. The gate looks great
