Modway Eileen Chrome Stainless Steel Side End Table

The cost of a true Eileen Gray table was out of the question, so I did research on what seemed to be just about every reproduction table on the market. As I could find no discernable differences on paper between the Modway and others, I thought why not give it a try. I did have reservations, thinking how could such an inexpensive table possibly have the quality I wanted, and some of the negative reviews concerned me. Well, the first good sign was the attention paid to proper packing. The table was fully assembled, and every square inch of the chrome frame was protected by both bubble wrap and foam wrap, and the installed glass top by two layers of Styrofoam with bubble wrap. There also was a cardboard insert on top of the table preventing movement while in transit. Great protective packing. The table itself was very impressive - all of the chrome was flawless, as was the tempered glass top. Changing the height was easy and smooth, and the chain and adjustment pin went well with the table. The table was very stable, even on moderately thick carpet, and due to the strength of the material and construction, easily capable of holding a 9 pound lamp (placed near the rear of the glass). The glass is supported by four chromed tabs integral to the underside of the round top frame, each topped by a transparent rubber pad (3 of the 4 pads were loose in the bubble wrap, so check it careful before throwing it away). The tabs are large enough to be pretty noticable from the top view, but I would rather have the extra security they offer, and from any side view cannot be seen.If I hit the lottery, I will buy a real Eileen Gray and a new Jaguar, but until then I'll be very happy with the Modway.

A decent rendition of a timeless design. The tabs/pads that hold the glass are cheap and cheap looking and the welds aren't perfect, but for the price it's a really nice table.

The quality of the end table is as horrible as you could image. The glass has scratches and the hole is not in line. The table is wobbling and not stable to support a laptop.The worst part is this is NOT a FREE return item. The asked you to ship back at your own cost! DO NOT BUY IT！UPDTES: It's been over one week. The selling keeps brushing me off, avoiding to send me pre-paid label. So far the defective product is still sitting in my living room. This is a nightmare. It's the WORST shopping experience I have ever had with Amazon!DO NOT BUY IT!!!

Packaging is WONDERFUL! It comes fully assembled and nothing was broken. It’s a very nice table but could be more sturdy!

The table is wonderful, the adjustable surface solves the problem I hoped it might. It arrived quickly, boxed and packaged well. Upon unwrapping the packaging, it did arrive with a grungy orange rusty spot that I can't get off. The image shows what can't be removed; it was worse upon arrival. The spot is on the top circle of the table, just to the side of where the pedestal connects. I really like the table, but this finish irregularity is concerning. I have went through the steps to get product support and am unable to use "contact us" page without setting up an account with Modway. At current, I'm not sure if I will return it or roll the dice by keeping it. I would advise "purchasing this with caution." You get what you pay for and it is certainly inexpensive. But generally, even inexpensive things should arrive in perfect condition.

As an antique dealer, I owned an original Eileen Gray design side table and this model is very like the original model. I am very pleased with this new one from Modway.

This replica of the Eileen Gray Side table works like the original.the quaility of the table is not subpar, and the tempered glass that came with the table was useful, on several occasions, when I kept on dropping my iPhone onto the table at a height. Generally speaking, the table itself is used as a side table for myself, however, I can see how this table can be useful for others in their living room or other parts of their apartments/homes. The adjustable height offers the user the ability to manipulate the table according to their use, and offers the opportunity to be adjusted according to the height of their sitting position or standing position.Overall: A-

The table arrived with knocks and the supposedly chrome looks completely golden. Very poor finishes and returning it from my country is very expensive.I don't recommend it
