KitchenAid 6 Quart Glass Mixing Bowl with Accessories for Bowl-lift Stand Mixers

I have been in the market for a KitchenAid mixer for a few years. Someone I know had one in almost new condition due to them never using it. They did not have any of the attachments and I thought it would cost an arm and leg to replace. This set was reasonable and the extra mixing bowl came in handy when I had to mix two different batters for the same cake. I love the sturdy glass bowl, and it takes heat well!

I use my kitchen aid so often I eventually chipped the bowl it came with. The replacements worked perfectly and are still going strong.

OH my gosh, do I ever LOVE this ensemble! It also came with its own flex edge beater not shown. The accessories are beautiful and the bowl fits my KP26M1X lift model. I do wish I could elevate the bowl more (it's at the highest allowable position) but I understand why there is room for the beaters not to touch the glass. I'll have to do some scraping, but I can see where and no complaints. This will also change the way I handle dough-making in the future Warm the bowl slightly before starting and the lid holds in the heat for rising. I like this better than the original bowl. And now I have two.

What I loved most is that the 6 qt glass bowl for my KitchenAid lift mixer arrived without any damage. The outside box had a small tear but the inside box was without any damage. This is a backup in the event I chip or break my original bowl. This item also included attachments including a flex edge beater and lid, which I didn't have when I purchased my mixer. I needed the second bowl so I could process two baked items at the same time: bread making which I use the bowl for the rising process and I usually make pumpkin peanut butter dog biscuits at the same time so this saves time when I have two bowls available. I am pleased with the delivery by FedEx, my least favorite delivery system, but I have no complaints plus the outside box was identified as including a glass object. I love this bowl. Made pasta dough already and it worked perfectly. It’s sturdy, the attachments are nice...and have the letter “F” on them to tell them apart from my metal bowl attachments, and it fits perfectly on my Costco Pro 600 6qt. So far I definitely recommend.

This arrived today and I am very happy. I have wanted this bowl for years and finally decided to buy it. First, let me say that this bowl is very heavy. It is thick glass with metal connectors. Be careful to make sure that your mixer is the correct model. KV25, KP26, KSM652, and KSM758 KitchenAid bowl-lift Stand Mixers.I also got a bonus. They included the KitchenAid Flex Edge Beater for 6 Quart bowls. Very nice. I will not use this bowl every day but it will come in handy when I need a second bowl.

My parents bought me my kitchen aid mixer when I got married. I was so excited to see them come out with the glass bowl. There are just some things that are made better when they are mixed and prepared in a glass bowl. My grandma's cinnamon rolls recipe is one. You have to let dough rise in a glass bowl and not having to pull out another bowl to be cleaned makes life a bit easier! Thank you kitchen aid for finally giving us the glass mixing bowl!!!

I got this as a gift for valentines day for my bowl lift Kitchenaid mixer and I immediately fell in love with the beautiful design of the bowl. The attachments are smaller than your typical attachments for your stand mixer so to avoid damaging your bowl it is safe to assume that when they tell you to only use the F attachments that you should listen. The bowl feels very sturdy and has been great overall. I can say with only slight exaggeration that this is the jewel on the crown and utterly enhances the look off your mixer. Now when it comes to usuability I have noticed, like other reviewers had stated, the whisk doesnt reach very well when trying to whip egg whites in small quantities so I deduct 1 star. This doesnt bother me too much so I simply use my metal bowls in combination with the 11 wire whisk to whip up creams and whites. The dough hook works just fine and I havemt had much issue except sometimes the hook wont mix my ingredients well enough in the initial moments of mixing. To remedy this I highly reccomend starting bread doughs with the paddle attachment and changing to the dough hook once everything is combined it honestly works much better and Ive come to find that this facilitates mixing in my other mixers as well and the aforementioned issue is pretty common. The paddle attachment or flat beater does a decent job mixing the batters and non bread type doughs I use it for, you will however have to do occassional scraping. I have purchased the flex edge beater for the glass bowl and it helps alleviate the need for scraping but not entirely. The transparency of the bowl is helpful in that when mixing it is easy to see if there are unincorporated ingredients on the sides or bottom. If you have small children around the house like I do then know theyll get a kick out of being able to see whats in the bowl when they undoubtably will ask what you are making. The lid has been a godsend for when you have dough rising in the bowl and need to cover it up, trust me if you do this often your plastic wrap adds up and every little bit helps. All in all the bowl is not cheap but it is so beautiful I simply cannot stress this enough. The attachments work pretty well with the exception of the whisk but I dont get hung up on it, you gotta know your tools and know what tool is for what job. An extra bowl is always so helpful and seeing through the bowl has been helpful for me and fun for the little ones. If youve got a little room to splurge then this is a great way to give yourself or someone you love a delightful and enjoyable treat (not to mention the ones you can prepare in this bowl). Try it out and rememeber to have fun with it!
