This not the real yellow split peas. This is hulled petite garbanzo beans.
This is actually hulled petite garbanzo beans and not yellow split peas. Unlike yellow split peas, these are smaller and the contours are uneven.

Great addition to pea soup.
Many cooks know there IS a taste difference in green and yellow peas, I think they are an essential ingredient to a delicious “pea soup” that adds a positive facet to an otherwise “expected flavor” without changing the taste, flavor, and texture of a beloved soup.

Nutritious and delicious split peas
These dry yellow split peas are not easily found even at Whole Foods. Being able to order them was a great option. Can be used in soups, stews and casseroles. Highly recommended.
