Good fit for 95 S10
I recently bought a 95 S10 and the drivers door was missing the spring. Not a big deal, but the door fully opening every time did get annoying so I bought this replacement door spring. Initially it looked too long, but it ended up working perfectly. Don't have to worry about dinging the car next to me anymore or smacking the wall in the garage. The spring is stiff and you do have to compress it quite a bit to get it to fit, so you'll definitely want a door spring tool, like the Performance Tool W84603, to install the spring.

Great spring but you need to pay attention to why t he old one fell out.
works great but you need to buy the inexpensive Amazon supplied tool for installation. No instructions so lube the tool bolt with assembly lube: insert tool just under top coil on each end and compress maximum to place spring so you can see where it is going to reside. Then back off the nut watching to make sure the spring is opening in the proper TWO locations. Piece of cake if you do it right. Try wrong and you will not be pleased and possibly angry. Still confused watch on-line use of the compression tool video that doesn't tell you the stuff above. Note: If the door limit pin is bent due to slamming door open, worse yet hinge attach metal bent, or the main pin and bushings are bad you are wasting your time and money Parts and tool are cheap Door and column metal fixing is kilobucks.

Replaced a broken spring on my door. Install tip: compress the spring with a vice, use about 6 or 7 zip ties to keep spring compressed. Place in the spring perch area of the door and clip the zip ties with some wire cutters.

Perfect fit, has held up as expected.
This fit my 2000 GMC Jimmy front doors exactly as it should, but I'd recommend using the available door spring compressor tool to install it. Spent the $8 and save a ton of time, unless you have ton of trust in the zip tie method and are okay with possibly losing a digit or an eye.
