FTCE ESOL K-12 Study Guide 2019-2020: FTCE (047) Exam Prep and Practice Test Questions for the English for Speakers of Other Languages K-12 Exam

I bought the "ESOL K-12 Study Guide" 047.This product is Amazing. I'm rating it 5 stars because I'm very satisfied with its content, and the set up of the information. That makes it very easy for me to study and refresh my mind. It helps me to make myself ready for the test.

I had taken one of the five ESOL classes required for an ESOL endorsement and really wanted to pass this test so that I would only need to take one more class. After reading reviews of several texts, I settled on this one and I'm glad I did. I spent two days during spring break reading the book, taking notes, and answering the possible test questions integrated throughout the book and in a section at the end. (Note that there are no actual tests included, as there are in some of the other review books I've used for other exams, but there are plenty of questions with which to practice.) Fortunately, this book was all I needed to pass the test; hence, I highly recommend it. I found that so many of the test questions on the actual exam seemed to be common sense, but there were quite a few I would have had no idea about were it not for this book and the specialized knowledge it offered.

This study guide did help me pass. You will need to use close and careful reading of this text so that you understand the concepts in detail. The FTCE questions seem worded to make them unnecessarily challenging. If you understand the concepts in this study guide, you should be able to pass.

I didn’t like that it doesn’t bring an online link to practice tests and they have to mail them to you. Otherwise it’s ok. I’ve been studying and I hope the content actually matches the test questions...

I wish that I could speak to the writers of this guide. It is not a study guide. It looks like the contributors decided to just have a long conversation and not include relevant and pertinent information. It's scattered and they didn't take the time or care to break down the competencies covered on the test. It states on the book cover that it's from 2019 - 2020. Not so. I had to eventually close the book and search for relevant and updated information. The writers should be ashamed that they would offer this book as a study guide, especially since this is an extremely important test for teachers.

This book really dives deep into many competencies, which is appreciated.
