High price for a high quality keyboard
First off, a little history of my background with keyboards. My first mechanical keyboard was one from Filco (majestouch 2) with Cherry MX Blue switches, a relatively unknown company outside of asia.Mechanical keyboards had yet been popular at the time and brands like Corsair, Razer and Logitech hadn't begun production of theirs until much later.I was an early adopter of mechanical keyboards if you will.£110 was the priced I paid for they keyboard at the time and mind you, that was expensive at the time for a keyboard.Just after a year, the keyboard breaks down, which is just outside of the 1 year warranty provided from the company whom I bought it from.Experience has taught me that mechanical keyboards may not be as reliable as they claim regardless of price. So many years later, my brother decides to buy a Ducky Shine 5 keyboard equipped with Cherry MX Reds.Impressed with it's performance I also decide to take another plunge with a mechanical keyboard, this time with the Corsair K63 with MX Reds, the cheapest TKL keyboard I can find with Cherry Reds.Despite the fact that both keyboards use the same switches, they feel drastically different from one another which threw me off a little. This has led me to buy the Ducky Shine 7.I feel that paying the premium for a higher quality keyboard will lead to greater satisfaction in the long run.The zinc face plate feels strong and premium, not to mention looking the business.RGB's look aesthetically pleasing but it seems that some letters on a key cap may not be evenly lit uniformly but this is a design problem on Cherry's part and not Ducky. The custom year of the pig space bar looks fantastic and I feel is the highlight on Ducky keyboards, without it, it will feel rather bland otherwise.A small bag of custom keycaps in an alternate colour is also included but they are apparently random in colour.I've been given reds which isn't my first choice if I could pick.Quality wise, I believe they are PBT which is good but the letters are solid white which means that the RGB's won't shine through which is unfortunate.Another complaint is that the detachable USB C cable is not braided. This is not a deal breaker for me however. So what I would like to see from Ducky in the future is more of the same, meaning custom coloured key caps with different colour combinations BUT with RGB shine-through for the key caps and a detachable braided USB C.PBT keycaps are the future and are worth investing in, in my opinion but especially those of Ducky keyboards.

Very impressive keyboard, with great features
I bought this keyboard after doing a lot of research of the current market of keyboards, and what people saw as a 'good' keyboard. I had made a transition from a Microsoft Sidewinder, so it is arguable that any mechanical keyboard would have been a good improvement, but this just blows it away. The feel of the CherryMX switches (silent reds in my case) is amazing for typing (essays), and especially for gaming it allows for fluid usability. The design is great and feels really good quality, and the RGB LED's are an added bonus that really impressed me. Lots of customization within their app, and it is saved onto the keyboard so you do not need the program running.

Best RGB mechanical keyboard under 200
I had a Logitech G513 that looked amazing, but Romer-G's are simple not comparable to Cherry MX. I got a Ducky One2 Horizon for the office and I fell in love with it. Then I got the Shine7 for home and I'm more than happy with this decisions. The body is metallic but it doesn't ping like the G513 at all. If you use it on top of a metal desk it might, but on wood it's inaudible.RGB configuration options are a bit tricky but the software has evolved so much to the point you no longer need to do any on-board key combos to configure it.

Perfection
This is absolutely worth every penny. Quality is second to none, software is easy enough to use and the typing experience, wow. Also worth noting that though the 2018 year of the dog edition is pictured, I received the 2019 year of the pig edition. Highly recommended.

Faulty - Ducky unwilling to sort problem
Have heard lots of good reviews about this keyboard being the "best" so I decided to purchase one due to all the positive feedback.I received it and there was nothing particularly special or anything that makes this outstanding compared to other main stream keyboards that would warrant the price. I am unsure as to why so many enthusiasts rate ducky so highly. I thought it would at least come in decent condition. I received it and 2 of the individually back lit RGB lights didn't work. Terrible for a company charging so much for a keyboard and being raved about so highly. To make matters worse contacted both Ducky and Amazon.Amazon offered £40 back off the keyboard but I would have to keep it and not get a new one/replacement nor would they fix it.Ducky just said go to my retailer (Amazon)and have since failed to respond when i told them what Amazon offered.Absolutely trash for the price. I'd rather pay less and get a mainstream Brando even she'll out a bit more and customize my own.Trash service from ducky.
