High Quality Plastic Tub
I purchased this tub to replace a galvanized tub that had rusted out in my large standing planter of ferns. The measurements given were exact so it dropped right in. Its quite a bit of money for a plastic tub but the quality is like none other and will last me for years verses buying another galvanized tub which costs lots more money and will rust. Very happy!

Perfect for my fountain
I got this as a base for my fountain so water would not plash out of it and drain it. It works great, no more filling it every couple of days.

Life saver of a heavy duty pot but needs to come with a Mountain.
I bought some lotus tubers off ebay and got in over my head. You have to use pots with NO HOLES in them. Why you ask? Because they GROW OUT OF THE HOLES in the pots and then by the time you realize the roots escaped the pots they're running ALL around the bottom of your pond and is eating up all the fish poop just getting longer and longer because that's what they do! The only draw back is once they are full of dirt and plant you WILL NOT be able to move it in or out of your pond deep steep koi pond. (Which you will have to drain a bit first) The only and I do mean only way you will be able to get that thing full of dirt and plant out of your steep (2 1/2 ft) koi pond is the Mountain off of game of thrones will have to go to your house and help you pick that puppy up because you will not be able to move it! I can scoot it around very VERY carefully but that's it. I had to put the empty pot in the bottom of the pond and have my kid hand me buckets of dirt at a time to fill it. However it does it's job superbly despite human error. 10 outa 10 recommend. They are a little pricey but worth it. I need like 10 more but I'll get them as I can afford them. Good luck and I hope this helps.

I use as a water bowl for my dogs in a shady spot.
I bought this as an outdoor water bowl for my dogs. It is a great size for holding water for my two big dogs. However, I failed to consider that the black color of the bowl would heat up the water in the sun. It is a deep enough bowl that it doesn't get too too hot, but it gets lukewarm. I don't know if my dogs care about it being lukewarm or not, but I would rather it be cold for them so they can cool off better in the summer heat. I was previously using a metal bucket which reflects the sun light, keeping the water surprisingly cool. So I still have that bucket and I just use this one in another, predominantly shady, location, since my dogs have free run of the yard which has both sunny and shady spots.

Fit Is Paramount
I have super big garden pots in the yard and these fit the diameter. I drilled holes in the bottom for drainage and the largest it holds were 3 fairly big Cannas in 1 tub. FYI I did not use it for lilies. Very happy with these tubs. JS

Perfect size for what I wanted - Will buy again
I bought this intending it for my water lilies but before planting I put it on a low stool to use it for mixing potting soil, cocoanut fiber soil substitute, and compost. Seems I'm constantly having to repot something as everything grows so fast here in FL. It has been so handy, just the right size and shape, and used so often, I never got my water lilies transplanted!Early spring I will order another one for my lilies and finally get them transplanted from their small "swamp" on my screened porch, into a nice pool of their own outside, with some live minnows to eat the mosquito larvae. Here in FL you dare not have even a tiny bit of water outside without mosquito control or you'll regret it and be confined to your screened areas. (Use "Dunks" when tiny fish can't be used.)

Perfect for small lotus “pond”
This container is absolutely perfect for starting a small patio “pond”, or similar. The depth is just right as well. I purchased the 9 gal. and I am very happy with its size/performance so far!
