Works great!
This is the best product I have ever used to remove algae from the rocks in my koi pond. I have tried so many different products and none of them have taken care of the problem. This product is very easy to use and works fantastic. I can now see the rocks in the pond and the waterfall is completely clear of algae.

Didn't remove all Algae
Didn't take off discoloration from rocks in our pond. Handled the moss pretty well though

Cleared the water quickly
I received this today and immediately sprinkled it in the basin of our waterfall and within a couple hours it was very clear. I'm sure by morning it will look even better. I will be buying this again as it is so much easier to use than the liquid. I donโt have to worry about splashing, and it is fine with the birds and the lizards.

The best I've found in 16 years with my pond
I have a large backyard koi pond that I built 16 years ago. I've tried a lot of algae products over the years. I was turned onto this one by a local pond shop. In the early Spring, I start getting a lot of string algae on my waterfall. It's a real pain to get it under control. With this, I simply shut down the waterfall, sprinkle some of this on the waterfall and let it sit while I clean the filter and pond. By the time I am done, the string algae on the waterfall is mostly dissolved. I turn the waterfall back on, the foamy residue goes into the pond (and treats the water for future algae), and a quick spray with the hose brings my waterfall back to its natural rock look. It's effortless algae removal at its best. ** Be aware that you follow the safety steps listed on the container ** I always have a container of this in my pond supplies. It works great and I've never had an issue using it with my plants or fish.

WARNING! Bad stuff! The lid on one container was off when I opened the package.
REVISED and UPDATED: Ater I had used the hand vaccuum to clean up what was on the rug, my husband read the warnings on the label. It said do not inhale--too late for me. I had to take off all my clothes because I had the granuales and powder on my shoes, my jeans and my shirt. I also had to remove the table cloth and place mats from our kitchen table. I have some burning in my mouth right now. My husband said his nose is buring. If this doesn't subside soon, I will have to go to urgent care. Someone needs to check and ensure that this product is safely packaged! The mailing package had quite a bit of loose product in it. The lid was off. I had to poor product from the package into the jar. I had product on the floor, on my jeans and on my hands. It would have been better if the lids had been checked to ensure they were fastened securely, taped down or placed in sealed bags. I am thankful that our cats did not get into this.

Works good but be careful
It does work as described, but don't get carried away. I only treat a quarter of my pond at a time so that I don't hurt my fish. It won't remove all of the algae from the rocks if it's heavy growth, but you can retreat as needed. There are warnings on the container about being very corrosive, so where your gloves and glasses to be safe. A dash of this stuff in your eyes would be very bad. Just use as directed and you'll be fine. I have 7 butterfly koi and 8 fantail goldfish, and they did just fine. Highly recommend you run a bubbler/aerator for a day or two to prevent hurting your fish. Better safe than sorry.

Good luck!
Iโve used a product before that was granular and it worked beautifully. I figured since this was granular that it would work just as well! Boy, was I wrong! I have a water feature that is not that large and this product is not strong enough to clear everything up!
