Ion Audio Redline Drums Illuminated Electronic Drum Kit

This is an awesome electronic drum set for the price! Whether you're starting out, maintaining, or just having fun, this is a good buy! I especially love the play-along presets with the lights. Fantastic learning tool! And it comes with a headset and drumsticks!

Decent beginner kit. I was looking for something to easily record some drums on some songs without having to be loud. The kick drum is way too loud and the toms do not have an accurate sound. The snare sounds good on some settings but the sensitivity is not consistent. You can hit it in the same spot at the same strength multiple times but the sound is different on most strikes.It's an inexpensive kit to play around on and learn but I would not suggest it for anything other than that.

Great starter drum kit. My 10 year old loves it and it sounds great. We have an amp and hooked it up to it and it is the real deal. You hear nothing with the head set on - that is great too! My husband set it up in just under an hour.

We were able to assemble this in about 45 minutes, but be aware some of the parts are quite sharp and may be difficult to fit together, and I sliced my finger significantly during assembly. This is a nice set for a learning young child, as it is fairly small, but the audio through the headphones is very good, and there are excellent features for a beginning/learning drummer, several lesson modules and the ability to play along with music from stereo or digital players. There also several different setting for sounds, some very techno and some more conventional, but this set lends itself to many different music styles. We especially like that all sounds are clear though the headphone, so kids can play all they want with minimal disturbance to the rest of the house. The set comes with two cymbal pads, and unfortunately one of our does not light up, so we won't be able to fully use some of the teaching modules if they use that one. I wish we could get a replacement for that, without having to return the whole set. IF you want hi-hat, ride, and crash cymbals, an extra cymbal pad will have to purchased separately. It is a fairly good birthday gift for our 10 year old; I wish I had had one when I was that age.

there is no way easy way to hook this to computer or speakers. hitting the plastic pieces of the drum kit with the sticks is loud. maybe not as loud as an actual drum kit but pretty much defeats the purpose if you intended keeping things quiet.

When putting it together, it felt awkward and the instructions could have been clearer; However, it's the perfect size for me, I love the LED pads and how customizable it is. More than that, I can beat on it like a real drum set, and it takes the beating well. It's amazing for the price, and the sound is perfectly clear.

we are extremely disappointed in the sound and quality of this product. for nearly $300 it should be able to make it 6 months without issue. id love to return this but stuck with it. bad decision to buy this. save your money! we had one month to return it if we had a problem. that's generous... NOT!
