Timex Kids' TW7B996009J Digital Display Watch with Adjustable Nylon Strap

I bought this for my kid a few weeks ago. The bright color makes it easy to find and the big buttons make it easy for a kid to use. It’s also very durable; it’s gone into the bathtub, it was misplaced in a mud puddle in the backyard for a day or two, it went through the laundry, and it still works. It was a great buy!

I got this for my 7 year old son. He wanted a watch so he could know the time and do timers and stop watch stuff. He likes it. I like that it has a nice adjustable strap with velcro that stays on well and is easy to take off and put on for a young child. It has indiglo so he can see it in the dark and is water resistant deeper than he will ever swim with it. It is pretty tough too, he wears it playing outside and at school and it still works. Like the old Timex saying, "it takes a licking and keeps on ticking."

I have now gone through 2 of the exact same watches. Both last about of month before the watch face began to have moisture & stop working. It was never swam in or completely submerged. My son would wear it & not take it off even during the shower. Both me & my husband have had our Timex for 10+ years & never had any issues, not even needing a new battery yet! However, the kids Timex is very disappointing. I had high expectations for this watch. Do not buy.

Great for my 6 year old. It has just the right number of features. It's easy to take on and off with the Velcro. It's plenty durable to withstand the abuse of an active 6 year old boy.

Kid loved it, but water goes in this water proof watch and the band only lasts a year. So disappointing on the quality.

This watch was perfect for my 6 year old son. He was so excited to get a watch of his own. It was easy to set the time. I didn't even need to use the manual. Some digital watches get very complicated. The band was simple to size and stays on his small wrist. I would purchase this again. The price was slightly less than the watches I looked at in the stores.

This watch was very inexpensive and I worried it would crap out immediately. So far it is working like a champ. It keeps time, has a nice bright light, and my son absolutely loves having a watch as he is learning about time.The writing on the face is pretty microscopic, but once you figure out what each button does, it is super user friendly. it has a stop watch, timer, as well as the digital time and date. Two thumbs up from me.

Pros: The watch is great for young kids just figuring out how to be responsible with time, and the functions are easy enough for them to figure out on their own with some practice.Cons: The watch claims to be water resistant to 30 M, but the watch we have is not. My son wore it in the shower once, and condensation gathered inside the viewing window. After a week of not wearing it to let it dry out, the watch was fine again. A few weeks later, my son wore the watch in the shallow end of the pool and the watch simply stopped working. I will be asking for an exchange and suggest you watch out for this. Additionally, my son's Indiglo light worked for the first week, but then stopped abruptly.
