My doctor recently recommended I take a daily potassium supplement as my levels have been a bit low. The only potassium supplements I could find locally were hard, chalky, horse-size “caplets” that inevitably got stuck in my throat. After choking those down for a few weeks, I began the tedious search for something easier to swallow. Enter Swanson potassium citrate “capsules”! These are a dream to swallow compared to the caplets! They are also potassium citrate as opposed to my previous potassium gluconate and the citrate form is said to be more readily absorbed. I am not a doctor so I can’t really speak to that, but I do know that now I don’t dread and/or avoid taking my supplement anymore. If you have trouble swallowing the big, chalky caplets, try these! You will be pleasantly surprised!
