Nero 9 (PC CD)

having trie videoplus 11 , vegas ,pinnacle and others that say can deal with .mts avchd files....this was a gamble looking at some other reviews but its just completed in 40mins a .mts avchd dvd that videoplus took 2 days of crashing etc etc.this is how it should be. Genuinely happy works for me.nearly sold panasonic sd9 camcorder until i tried nero. yes it takes a while to load but thats all gripe id give it.

I bought Nero 9 on 25th September 2009 from Amazon. After opening the package on receiving it which included a quick setup booklet and the cdrom. I put the cdrom into my drive and clicked install. Up came the usual request write your serial no. Before I could look for this the request had changed and in its place was typed the serial no. I was about to take it down but it disappeared and installation started and took some time to complete. I do not know what happened after that but I know that Nero was great and I had no problem using it for burning and checking my files. I did not use it for video. After almost a year my computer had a crash not because of Nero but because of Vista and Windows 7. So I completely reinstalled Windows XP but when I again put into my drive Nero it asked for the serial no. but this time it did not offer to type it in. So I checked my paperwork and found on the quick guide notes that I would get it from the back of the jewel box. But I did not receive the so called jewel box and so now I cannot use my Nero. I got in touch with Nero website and they said I could get it if I registered my copy. I was not asked to do so on installation. They also said I could go to regedit, again if I registered Nero. Otherwise I would have to buy at a very meagre discount. Amazon has not been at all sympathetic for once. Everytime I visited Amazon they said I could return even after 30 days but when I tried to use that option it just gave no help. I am very unhappy about this and will write to Amazon. Has anyone had this kind of problem. I would be happy to know. Bessie

I bought Nero 9 to edit AVCHD footage from a Panasonic HDC-SD9 camcorder and to create DVDs from the edited movies. I tried all the other software I could, and Nero 9 was one of the few products which actually worked. AVCHD importing is easy, as is editing. The DVD creation tool is straight-forward to use and menu creation is also easy. The DVDs produced play back fine on my low-end DVD player. The installation was slow, but that's not a huge problem for me. Nero is also cheaper than most of the other AVCHD editing packages. I'm using Nero 9 on Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit.

i would not bother with this!!!! i bought nero 9 from their website and paid for a disc too. now i regret it because of a few things. 1: it is exactly the same as nero 8 only nero showtime has a different look. 2: it does not add nero to your pc's autoplay features like the other nero's do so when you insert a dvd etc, your choice box comes up and nero is not there as it doesn't install it. i tried the typical installment and the custom install to try to sort this out but it just was not there. 3: it takes approx half hour to install and uninstall just to give you missing features. 4: there are no template packs but nero doesn't tell you this until after you bought it. they are still working on them now so when i bought this, creating a music dvd with 3d menu's went straight out the window as i have to wait until the templates are released before i can create my disc. bit pointless really as i paid for it and it's just sitting there. 5: when you goto updates at the control centre you will see that the in cd feature is also missing. if you goto the website to install it seperatly it will give it to you for nero 8. do not waste your time and money on this and just stick with nero 8 or 7 as they are better than this

I found this to be rather disappointing to say the least. Yes it burns discs in numerous formats and does it very well but apart from that it goes down hill a lot. I got this primarily because I wanted to use 'nero live' for watching & recording tv on my pc. I was lead to believe by the product discription that HD content would be available & would be intergrated with Windows Media Center, well it's simply not true, no BBC HD channel & no intergration with Windows Media Center. If you want HD TV on your pc buy something else like powercinema because that does work.

This is the most advanced in everything from burning ROM -Audio ripping where the built in "Gracenote" finds all the numbers and puts the corresponding names on them.To video editing--- This is the one for easy "AVCHD" editing! It is edited in its native hidef mode and finished in a speed that will make You breathless! It renders in "fast forward-speed!!";-) The codecs in NERO are supreme and second to none. They are the genuine broadcasting codecs! And it is just too cheap! It is awesome though-rip it from the shelves! And by Jove-use it!!!

I have always wanted to compile a documentary DVD of my family photos and film recordings that I have collected over a number of years in my archives. Being a single parent looking after children and having very little time to take on any form of part-time studies in film making I decided that perhaps if I could find a software that would help me do this, browsing through the net I came across this product. Which I ordered through ie,ie, etc etc, NEVER LOOKED BACK SINCE. With little knowledge I have become quite a film producer of the family now everyone now wants me to edit,compile their life history for them. Hah! they don't even offer me anything for time spent untangling mesh/mash information they send to me. Friends and Family for you.(HAH!) Anyway looking forward for a similar product from manufacturers to enable me to produce animation and cartoon short film. Some of the jargon can be a bit confusing for total beginners like me, but once one cracks it the whorled is your oyster. Recommend to anyone interested in this field

Le produit est plutôt bon en soi... Nero, tout le monde connait ou presque... Attention cependant... Comme à chaque installation d'une nouvelle version ou d'une mise à jour, une chance sur deux pour que la porte s'ouvre sur des emmerdements en cascade.... Je me suis bagarré deux semaines durant avec ce foutu logiciel qui essaime partout à l'installation et qui ne comprend plus du tout, et très rapidement les conflits que génère la moindre mise à jour... Le service après vente est là, (très théoriquement), pour vous aider et vous assassine de pages entières de procédures de nettoyages et de désinstallation-réinstallations aussi répétitives et inutiles les unes que les autres.... Résultat: une intervention extérieure, 80 euros pour nettoyer le chantier... De quoi vous mettre de bonne humeur. Et si vous pensez après ça pouvoir attendre un geste commercial de Nero, vous en serez pour vos frais. A ma demande, il m'a été répondu que "Cette pratique ne nous est pas connue"....(Celle du geste commercial!!)... On croit rêver ! Bref, si vous avez une version installée et qui répond à vos attentes, ne vous laissez pas endormir par leurs chants de sirènes qui vous vantent les mérites de leur nouvelle mouture... Conseil d'ami. A part ça, et seulement en ce qui concerne le vendeur qui m'a fourni cette version, rien à dire. La transaction était parfaite. Il n'est évidemment pour rien dans les déboires rencontrés.
