Wild Wings WWCH3 Cedar Blue Bird Box House

Very nice blue bird house, very happy with it. Don't have any blue birds in it yet, had it for about a month. Very easy to check inside, it opens from the front.

I really like the bluebird house. In fact, I got two. It seems very well designed and to meet all of these specifications recommended for bluebirds. It has a predator guard, making the entranceway extra long and difficult for squirrels or raccoons to reach in and grab the babies. It has a clean out ability where you can check on the little ones but also you can clean out the nest between uses. it has no perch on the front to allow predators and other birds who do use a perch harm the bluebirds. Bluebirds don’t need a perch. And it has plenty of good solid wood construction to hang it on a post in our yard. Bluebirds can be picky about where they like their nesting boxes. Open areas, fence posts and make great spots for them. They don’t like to have their boxes on trees in a wooded area. Bluebirds are a friend to gardeners and farmers as they don’t eat seeds, they eat bugs, usually Pests.

the crack between the mounting plate and the roof. A little silicone can fix that. Also, I applied some caulk to the roof screw holes to prevent water from standing in the depressions. Good house for a good price.

UPDATE: I would not recommend this birdhouse. After I hung it up, a couple of weeks later, I come home and it had fallen to where the opening was facing the ground. One of her eggs had fallen out and cracked. After checking inside, there were two more eggs. I had an extra birdhouse of a different brand in my garage, so I quickly got that one out and hung it and transferred her nest with her two remaining eggs into the Birdhouse, and just hoped for the best. The mama and daddy were very upset with me messing around the birdhouse, but that next day she was in and out Adjusting the nesting material and doing what they do when they have eggs. So fortunately, we were able to save the remaining two eggs. I would recommend to the maker of this birdhouse, to put in some pre-drilled holes for hanging or something, because the way it comes is just not adequate.My only issue is with hanging. When I went to bail it up, the wood split. I sealed it with silicone, but I’d recommend a better hanging option.I put it up yesterday, and already have a nest in it today!❤️

Very good quality!! The finches were attracted to the birdhouse instantly. Built a nest twice so far. Love this purchase.

This was a great price (under $20!) and its a really well made birdhouse. Its made of good wood, not too thin or brittle so it will last. Its a bigger size so larger sized song birds will enjoy this house. It is a nice style also. It has a latch so you can open the house after use and clean it out easily. i can't wait to see the birds use this in the spring this year! :)

Wild Wings Bird Houses-I like the REAL WOOD & SCREWS to secure it; the easy clean out (the Sparrows will not use the bird house unless it is CLEANED), predator guard, air vents. My Sparrows are "DEEP NESTERS" & this bird house is 9" my old bird houses are 11" to 12" (deep). I will need to mount a "definite locking device as the SQUIRRELS have monkey hands & can open anything. The squirrels have chewed all the entrance ways to all my SOLID WOOD bird houses so I purchased metal electrical plates & screwed them over the door way. I had to paint the SILVER plates a flat color as the birds did not like the reflection. I wish this bird house had the raised "mesh" at the bottom, I will buy some fine wire screening to make a mesh to place a inch or less above the floor. Excellent quality, well built, saves me building my own. I purchased 2 Wild Wings and 2 similar Bird Houses (with mesh above the floor 1 ".

This is a well designed, sturdy birdhouse that should last for years. Proper ventilation & drainage has been incorporated into the design. It has been assembled with screws, not staples. The walls, floor, and roof are thick enough to buffer warmer or cooler temperatures. The front opens easily to clean out old nest material at the end of the season. The design works well for Chickadees as well. I added a metal faceplate to the predator guard with the hole sized for Chickadees. They approve! I am so pleased With this bird house, that I am ordering a 2nd one.

I would give this a 5 star rating except for two things. The first one being that I ordered this on a deal and was supposed to receive the model WCH3 and not the cheaper model I was sent WWCH3. The more expensive model is supposed to be stained for extra protection against wear and tear but upon reflection it’s probably healthier for the birds not to have the stain anyway. From what I can see of the two models they appear almost identical except for the stain. I do feel ripped off though ordering some that is supposed be $46 on sale for $21 and just being sent the $21 model to begin with. There is also a different model which opens from the side and has a mesh vent but the front opening is easier to clean in my experience. If you happen to order the more expensive model be sure you actually get that and not this version. I would be returning it if I actually had paid the original price.My second issue is the fact that this does not come with mounting hardware IE pre drilled with the screws. Most other bird houses of this type do have that. It is however mentioned in the description that hardware is not included so it is what it is. Overall I think this is a pretty good birdhouse and time will tell how it stands up over the next couple of years.
