Updated review after 2 months!šš»JK Owners - how EASILY & Quick & Reliable FIX IN 4 easy steps. The AntennaX looks and sounds awes
Update! I've now had this stubby antenna for over 2 months. First picture was when I had installed it the day I got it, second is from today. It hasn't moved. I live in a very rural area in Texas. I have had no reception issues. I've read a lot of reviews on here about reception, and it might be due to the cuppler it comes with not fitting all the way, if it won't fit, no reception. Try the fix below and you'll not notice any issues. I really hope this helps. It's a great product and it's so nice to not have to deal with the whip issue!I love this antenna! Just received it today and couldn't be happier. I have a 2015 JKU. When I first attempted to screw it in, it didn't fit. So, I went through the reviews and saw these directions from Steve on 4/23/16, and it worked flawlessly. I live in a rural area in Texas and after install, I was able tune in FM, AM, and my XM and it sounds great! Here's the fix for fitting issues on JK & JKU from Steve's Review. When you first assemble and screw it in, you'll see a huge gap and won't get signal. Here's how you fix that.1. Unscrew the bottom 2" segment of the AntennaX.2. Remove the threaded rod that's inside the antenna segment.3. Screw just the 2 inch segment into your Jeep, you'll see that it now fits properly and is fleshed against the base.4. Screw the small threaded rod (the one you removed from the long antenna segment) into the top of the base far as it'll go.5. Screw the antenna onto the threaded rod that is sticking out from the top of the 2 inch segment. (I was able with little effort for it to fit with no seam gap). And, you're done with a good looking Antenna that works and looks awesome. What causes it not to fit in JK's was the short cuppler inside the 2 inch segment. Following these instructions from Steve's review with directions worked perfectly with very little effort! So, if you're having a fitting issue with your JK, Thank Steve for finding and posting the work around. As you can see from the picture I posted, it looks awesome! Way better than the stock antenna. AM, FM and XM came through very clear even here in rural Texas country. Hope this helps! Here are pics of my Jeep with the AntennaX installed following the above directions. Close up and from the front. It looks awesome.

Perfect for Off Road and on Road use.
I just completed installing two of these antenna's, one on my Jeep and one on my wife's Jeep. Both our Jeeps are 2017 and the fit is perfect. No addition parts needed, no drilling, just remove the OEM Antenna from factory and place this one in it's place. Complete install on both took about 5 min each, quick note on the install: Only tool you'll needed is pliers.I used a rag or shop towel and placed it between the Antenna and my pliers to insure I didn't scratch my Jeep. Make sure you tighten it down as far as you can without stripping it.I read several reviews stating that this product didn't work, maybe they didn't tighten the antenna down enough but I have had no issues with not receiving radio stations. Looks great and works great ... highly recommend this product over the OEM antenna. No more issues of the factory antenna comping lose or getting caught on tree branch on the trail.

Improved reception, doesn't hit my light bar
I love this antenna! Just received it today and couldn't be happier. I have a 2010 decked out JKU. I went through the reviews and saw these directions from Steve on 4/23/16, and it works great. My AM and FM stations come in better than they did before (less static).I would rather give instructions differently than Steve. I put the antenna together first, then screwed it onto the jeep. Works great.1) Unscrew the bottom piece of plastic, exposing the 2" all thread.2) Screw the all thread into the antenna part3) Then screw the plastic piece on the bottom4) Screw the adapter thread onto the bottom, and it should all be snug.5) Install it on your jeepHere's the fix for fitting issues on JK & JKU from Steve's Review. Following these instructions from Steve's review with directions worked perfectly with very little effort!

You're Cutting Your "Whip" in Half, What Do You Expect?
Look, I didn't take physics, so here's how I see this thing. I live in a city with underground parking lots and concrete walls. When I'm driving around, THERE IS NO SIGNAL LOSS. In areas where the signal was weaker or was interrupted slightly, I now have an even weaker signal or no signal at all, briefly. I cannot give it 5 stars for this, because technically the whip is better. But, guaranteed, this new stubby won't hit the car in a strong wind or car wash, and it looks ALOT better. If you do a lot of off-roading or live in the mountains, you will be wasting your money, because if you already have issues with coverage, THIS WILL NOT IMPROVE ANYTHING. But, you will sacrifice some coverage in already "problem" areas for something a little more low profile and sturdy. It took me 6 minutes to install. That's it.
