I love it !!
Right now I’m using my 13 inch with my 10 inch drum as a Timbale. I wish they would make a 12 inch drum with the same clamp

Snares can fall apart with normal use & no snare tension adjust
I own both the 8" and 10" version and yes I have had the same problem with both as another users review, except for the fact that I do not hit hard. Meinl makes great Timbales and Timbalitos, but the snares are a huge oversight on their part for this model Problem 1: the snare tension can not be adjusted (minus 1 star) Problem 2: the snare mechanism sticks locked after a bit of use. you can release it by pushing the lever in while trying to carefully flip it (minus a second star) A little 10WD40 on the rod in the snare release bracket helps. Amazon has been great and replaced my 10" version at no cost to me. Update: 02/05/2015 I contacted Meinl and they send me two extra snares at no cost to me. These new snares have not suffered the same fate as the originals. I can see right away that the welds on the snare clips are much more substantial. Thank You Meinl & Amazon :-)

Cool
Great timbale sound, but snare turning on and off is hella loud, overall still great drum

Magnifico
