FROGG TOGGS Chilly Pad, Instant Cooling Towel, Long Lasting, Reusable, Sports and Outdoors Neck Towel 33x13

I have been using these Frogg Toggs Chilly Pads for over 10 years and most recently bought this beautiful deep purple one. It seems like magic how you can wet them with even warm water (doesn't have to be cold) and within 10 minutes, they are cool to the touch. I have lead hiking groups (we've had as many as 100 hikers) and compared these cooling towels to many other brands. This one always wins in my opinion. And, I've been a guide in Grand Canyon (a very hot place in the summer) and found this chilly pad invaluable. I would dip it in the river before going to bed, put it around my neck, and it would cool me off enough to get to sleep. In the morning, parts that were crumpled and still damp would still be cool, even though most of the towel was dry. The colors may fade over time, but the effectiveness never seems to. Love that you just throw them in the washing machine to wash or can hand wash.

This thing is amazing. I'll use it when I go to bed mostly because I sleep hot. Just wet it and squeeze out the excess and then lay it on your forehead or neck when you close your eyes for sleep. It absolutely helps cool me down. When it's really hot I'll drape it on my neck while I'm just lounging about. I'm sure it would be great for the beach or hiking too. If your partner doesn't like it as cold as you do give this a try and see if you guys can compromise!

Works fantastically. It does smell a little like chemicals when you first open it so you'll want to wash it first. Dont put it in the dryer as it gets hard and crunchy when it is dry. Always loosely fold or hang to dry. It isnt flexible when dry, but you don't want it to stay wet if it is stored long term. Thats how you get mold/mildew. When you are ready to ise it, wet it with plain water and it springs back to life and works like new. Ill be buying more. If it is really hot outside and you are going to stay out for a long time, I recommend bringing water to re-wet it as it will dry out as you use it. The evaporation keeps it nice and cool. If it ever feels warm, hold one end and swing it around a couple times and the airflow will cool it down very quickly. Love it so much. Great quality, nice and soft and spongey when wet. Lasts a long time too. Very light weight even when wet.

These pads work very well. I wet it down and put around my neck to prevent sunburn and it keeps me cool doing yardwork in the blazing heat, and kept me comfortable at an amusement park all day in the sun. The length is good - can put over my head when needed. I deducted one star because I bought 2 of these: a purple and a neon green. See the picture, the purple retained its color but the green one looks like the color of puke now. Should mention that you have to fold it like you want to store it - while it’s wet. When it dries, it’s as stiff as cardboard.

This is so much better than the other microfiber cooling towels. I’ve been looking for the real deal for years now and this is it. The cooling effect & longevity is way beyond the typical cooling towels out there. And while it holds a significant amount of water it doesn’t drip water down your shirt, it actually holds it keeping you cooler so much longer. Love the blue color as well!

These towels really work and are life savers! I can't believe how well they work at keeping you cooler with just water. We have outdoor swim meets in Arizona in June and July. They are miserable, but these towels make it a little more bearable. We just put one around the back of our necaks and it makes everything better. Sometimes I'll even take an extra one and drape it on my arms to cool off as well. I really should buy these and sell them at the swim meet. I'd make a ton of money because everyone needs them. They are super easy to use just keep them damp. They do work better for our dry heat, not sure how well it would work if it were really humid. Had some friends come for denmark and they took some home because they liked them so much.i will never go through an arizona summer without these towels. I understand that the 1-5 star rating is to help both buyers and sellers. Here is a breakdown of how my 1-5 ratings are determined: 5-star rating that means that I truly love that product and it has features that put it above and beyond what would normally be expected, and it is something that “wowed” me and I am truly glad I purchased it and would purchase it again. Also I recommend it to everyone and anyone! 4-star ratings are items that do exactly as would be expected of the item, is of very good quality, but does not stand out significantly in any way unless I specifically state why it stands out. But all in all, this item is a solid item and is still highly recommended. It just didn’t have the wow factor that my 5 star ratings would have had. 3-star ratings are given on items because my feeling about the product is neutral. I do not consider it a negative, but it just did not wow me, or there is nothing of great significance. 1 or 2-star ratings are rarely given unless the item is completely worthless and not worth the money, and I am only giving that rating as a warning to others. Some items have received lower ratings because of the way they were made or put together, and it is getting that review because of the quality of the item, which is specifically described in my review. It has to be pretty bad to get these ratings from me!

DON'T BUY THE PINK FROGG TOGG!--IT BLEEDS BRIGHT PINK DESPITE SEVERAL WASHINGS!!! I have an older blue Frogg Togg and gave it to my husband, so I bought a pink one. This is what the water looks like after 5 hand washings, 2 extra long washing machine washings and 1 more hand washing. I am afraid it will bleed all over my clothes if I use it. I will wash it a few more times, but I am not hopeful. I may have to return it and try a different color. Frogg Toggs do work well in hot weather, but I do not want my clothing ruined.

Bought this towel for our trip to Florida. My fiancé wore it all day while we tackled every Disney World and Universal park. It was right around 90 everyday while we were there and he is not of fan of hot temperatures. All he had to do was wet it and wear it around his neck. The cooling effect allowed him to stay as comfortable as possible. The length of time that the cooling effect lasts is really impressive. He only had to wet it a few times during a 12-13 hour span. The length of the towel is perfect for wearing around your neck and still having enough material to wipe your face when needed. The quality is fantastic as it survived 8 plus days of constant use and my fiancé plans on continuing to use it at work and when mowing etc It is super light weight and gripped to his neck without ever shifting. It does say that the material can cause a rash but my fiancé has not experienced that. We did follow all the directions before use and while using and again it never caused skin irritation or stained any clothing! This cloth was an absolute life saver in the heat and we believe it played a huge roll in keeping body temperature down!

I remember a friend who was wheelchair-bound recommended these to me. The first ones I bought were like shammy leathers - hard when dry but put them under the tap and they go soft AND HOLD THE WATER IN for maybe a couple of hours. Put round your neck and it is like having a cold towel that does not dry in the heat cooling you down. Tried to buy more recently and they seem not to sell them I think because they were made from something not so good like PVA. Tried the microfibre cooling towels but in comparison these were no good. Then I found this online and yes - back to that shammy-leathery stuff that really works. Can't recommend enough for a hot day.

I love this product although it arrived in PINK not purple. Ironically I wanted pink to match my wrist bands anyway so maybe the Amazon packer read my mind! The product itself is excellent. We get a lot of heat waves in the summer so this works great just to drape around your back and shoulders or chest and shoulders to help cool down. You can also wrap it around you legs, arms etc - anywhere that is feeling particularly hot. This might be beneficial for someone with a heat rash or hives as it soft, cool, wet and feels great on your skin. It comes in a plastic reusable sealed tube - you store it wet so it is ready to use whenever you need it as well as it travels well in a beach bag, backpack etc. After buying this through Amazon, I have since found this same brand/product in outdoor sports stores but was happy to see I saved a couple bucks buying it through Amazon! This would also make a great gift idea for someone athletic or who spends a lot of time in hot climates, work environments etc. It stays cool for hours - as it dries out, I either spritz mine with a water bottle to keep it moist or submerge for a minute in a sink/bowl of water. Washes nicely by hand with mild soap and water.

We have owned Frogg Toggs for years. If well cared for they last a very long time. They have been a life-saver on hikes and 4x4 trips in hot desert like conditions. Highly recommended to keep you from overheating by placing the wet cloth around your neck or over your legs.
