I needed a couple of speakers suitable for a family day at the pool followed by an outdoor movie night. Bluetooth TWS, Water Resistant and "loud enough to be heard over the grandkids" were required as well as not breaking the bank. These speakers ticked all the boxes! Even my sons were impressed with the sound. The TWS function was easy to set up and the bass is better than I hoped for. It could have easily disturbed the neighbors had we run them at full capacity. They ran non-stop for over 10 hours the first day and still had battery power enough to run for several hours days later.The only sort-of "Con" for me is that the charging port for these are a USB C-type. I know this is supposed to eliminate the issues or damage that a Micro-USB B can cause, but this now makes three different charging cords I need to have on hand for the IPhone, Samsung, and now the speakers.Overall, I would recommend these speakers and am very happy with them myself!

Previously had a Wirezoll brand 20 watt speaker that the battery went bad just after warranty period. After two months of use I'm very pleased with this Darkraken 40 watt speaker. I use it for music at softball practice. On high volume the sound travels to the deep outfield. I am not an audiophile but I am very happy with the sound quality. As you would expect it is louder than 20 watt speakers but I can't say it is twice as loud. Based on my hours on Amazon researching speakers under $100 I would definitely buy this one again. A few minor annoyances: (1) the same buttons are used for volume+/- and track back/forward - just hold the button shorter or longer for each feature, (2) each time I turn the speaker on I must push the "M" (mode) button to play the micro SD card music, (3) the back of the speaker feels like it is part of the soft interior bass speaker so I am careful to treat it gently for fear of damaging this soft material (it claims to be waterproof but I hope not to test this) and (4) the instructions require a magnifying glass for us in the 50+ crowd. But all these issues are minor and I would definitely buy this again. Finally, I rarely buy an extended warranty but because of my experience with the previous brand of speaker and my intended outdoor use of this speaker, I did buy Amazon's 2 year extended warranty for about three bucks.

Even while it worked, it had less range and shorter battery life than any of my other 2 bt speakers. the only cool thing was the type c charging. it stopped working the other day while i was listening to it. it went from playing music to just spewing out distortion and static. I thought it was just low on battery so I charged it over night and now every time i turn on and its on bt it just pukes distorted static. Out of the Amazon return window and no support on the seller page, my only option was to leave a bad review. The company reached out and asked what they could do to make it right. I expressed my concerns regarding a replacement, and they promptly issued a full refund to my payment method. My speaker may have been a one in a thousand issue. Either way you have nothing to lose by giving this company a try. You will be satisfied. Guaranteed, no matter how it has to happen.

In the item description, it says "low latency," but in the product description it says "none" latency (that's how they spelled it). Well, if it were actually low latency, which I was hoping for at the very least, I would've liked the product very much. However, the latency is just as bad as any other general bluetooth speaker available. It's a lie, don't fall for it. Especially if you're into audio production that requires an accurate output signal.

This is not a 40W speaker. Sounds ok but certainly not 40 watts. Awesome battery, lasts a long time.

The X3 pro might have double the wattage output but the X5 is plenty loud for my tests and can fill a room and an immediate area outside. The video provided can show you how loud it gets at max volume outside. I feel like any louder would be obnoxious to the people around. The X5 is as modern of a Bluetooth speaker I've seen: BT 5.0, type-C charging & IPX7 certified. It's also very tanky and has AUX in. The only thing you might not like about this is that you can't use it as a power bank if your phone is running low. I personally think that's fine by me, but there are certain use cases where some people might want that feature. I don't use it so I won't dock any stars for it - it is worth noting though. Another thing to note involves the vibration of the thing. Since it's so small delivering such big sound, it can potentially vibrate off a surface while it is on max volume. Overall, this speaker is perfection.

The X5 Pro is manufactured by XDOBO Inc. in China. If you see others that look exactly the same but with their own brand name or logo then I can assure you that they are exactly the same unit selling for 2 to 3 times the price. What no one states in their specifications in order to make a informed decision are the total specs. The frequency response is 115 Hz to 15 KHz, there is almost no low end to this speaker, but its not bad. It has a bright mid-range so its great for jazz, not rock and roll. Distortion is less than or equal to 1% at 1 KHz, very clear sound quality at high volume as well. The 20 Watt rating is probably peak, not RMS. Not a party speaker but great for listening to Jazz background music at 50% volume. Battery is 15 Hours at 50% volume. It is a Li-on battery rated at 3.7 v 3600 mAh (3.6 Ah), not replaceable unless you know what you are doing, but then the waterproof seal will probably be destroyed since you will have to pop off the front grill to get to the battery. The Power supply adapter needed should be rated at 5.4 VDC max. at 2.4 Amps min. The UPC is B07MR8YZVW, the same for all similar units that have their own logo on it. The speaker is a great size for portability and is truly waterproof with a great coating on it. The bluetooth is ver. 5.0 and works extremely well, also in telephone mode with built-in mic. Comes with type C to USB charging cable and stereo cable for direct connection. I had my speaker at a 20 foot distance and no signal drop, played constantly for 4 hours straight. It's a 30 dollar speaker at most, and it's better than others selling for more money.

I used this product on a trip to a Mexican resort. I thought and was hoping that it would be louder. It wasn’t as loud as I had hoped. Other than that it works good. I wouldn’t buy it again as I am still looking for a louder portable Bluetooth speaker.
