Building Your Own Terrarium It's a lot easier than you may think! First, make sure that you have all the required materials for building your terrarium. The most important of these, of course, is the terrarium itself. Virtually any type of clear plastic or glass container will work just fine. Bottles, fish bowls, jars, you name it. There are even special containers built just for terrariums. Your choices are endless; just make sure that you choose a clear container that's been cleaned with hot soapy water, as tinted or cloudy glass or plastic will interfere with plant growth by reducing light.

Lovely little ferns
These tiny little ferns arrived well packaged and stable in their pots, also well hydrated. Only one seemed to have been DOA, the greenery already crunchy. The others were bright, springy and healthy, and after a day of 'rest', I transferred them into their new terrarium home. The one thing that would have made this 5 stars would be a single-sheet paper naming each plant and possibly a short explainer of what type of light/water is best. Otherwise, would definitely buy again.(FYI - lighting in terrarium photo isn't optimal, so plant color is a bit weird.)

Beautiful!!!!!
So very impressed! Came packaged perfectly. All plants were alive! Bought them for center pieces that will go in little bird cages!

Adorable teeny tiny plants!
I was very pleased with how well these were packed to protect the earth from falling out of the pots and they were well watered to make there journey to my home. They survived with some stress on several plant leaves. To be expected in this horrible heat and being banged around in travel. The only thing I was disappointed with is the dates it stated it would be delivered on by Amazon and the seller. It stated it would be delivered between two specific dates and showed up 5-7 days ahead of time. It’s a good thing I didn’t use our back stairs to go out to our garage, five minutes before departing for a weekend trip and just leave. This was last Friday. I must have been loading our car when they arrived on the other side of the building. Anyhow I decided to walk around front and found this tiny, light weight box sitting at the front door. I thought to myself...I’m not expecting any packages today. So I took it upstairs, opened it immediately and was surprised to find these little plants in the box. Good thing I checked or they would have died sitting from Friday morning until late Sunday. Anyway, I unwrapped them and placed them on a paper plate and put them in a bright area with no sunlight and left for the weekend. I woke up Monday morning early, made coffee and in 30 minutes made my small terrariums and went off for the day. The plants are terrific except one that has weird tiny white dots, and his pale in color. The others are thriving. The one that has no identity with the white spots looks to be from the stag horn family. All in all I’m happy with the little guys.

A sweet assortment of dainty ferns
These were so cute when they came — very small, very healthy, and five different kinds. I’ve been trying to make a miniature woodland garden (sort of like a fairy garden but without the fairies and tchotchkes) and a few weeks later they are still looking good. Well one of them got a little bit chomped on last week and is currently in recovery so I only took four pics

nice
these are advertixed as ferns. too many broadleaf plants but they did send seven so no complaints. however, i need tags i grow only wardian cases under full spectrum lights. have grown for years. unfortunately i have had to downsize so got rid of my free standing cases. these little plants look perfect for the cases i have now. people ask what the plants are and i can't tell them.my biggest complaint is that i also ordered a miniature violet. it arrived in the same box. someone please tell me why mail order feels compelled to ALWAYS send purple? i have enough putple violets. anyway, the little fellow does appear to be in good shape. mostly i've had good luck with hirt.

Super cute, but what are they?
These came packaged very well, each was wrapped in bubble wrap and there was a heat pack in the box. They all look great. The only reason I didn't give that 5th star is because there are no labels so I don't know specific growing instructions (as opposed to general fern propagation). Even without labels, $4/plant is a great deal.
