so far this has been the best G-shock watch I’ve bought and I had purchased several of them usually white but they turn yellow so this black one is perfect

This is a great watch. I've owned a few G-Shock watches before, and this model particularly lives up to the high standards of G-Shock. What I like in particular is the purple/blue/black color tone. This is a tone I've never seen in a watch, and I like it. I also like the practicality of the many functions, such as the stop watch~which I use regularly while at the gym, timer, and the 24 hour time telling mode. The lighting feature is really neat! The function I don't use is the alarm, because I can't hear the chime unless you're wearing the watch~as I would use it to rise in the morning, and the alarm ring is also short, and so I find the alarm useless. And the last thing I don't care for is that the watch band seems to get scuffed rather easily. I'm not sure what it is I scrape against, but it does scuff. If you like G-Shocks, then you will not be disappointed.

I love the look and fit of this watch. I love the Casion Baby G's, but find the wristband on those to be a bit snug. This fits great. The big face and color are very nice. My only complaint is that the design of the face makes it really hard to tell time in low light situations, even when you turn on the light inside the watch. The light itself does not stay on nearly long enough. But because the face has that sideways "Y" element graphic on it, you cannot distinguish the first and second hands of the watch from that graphic element. I'm really surprised none of the people designing the watch considered that might be a problem. It certainly looks cool; perhaps that was the main priority.

This watch very nice ! The colors were awesome ! The thing that bothered me most was , it came in a plastic bag in a small shipping bubble bag ! No box to protect it , no manual or directions !! This is my 5th watch and 4 came nicely protected boxes .

This is a great watch that is very "on trend" in many ways, yet speaks to some of the classic stylings of the g-shock brand, so I think it will be fashionable for many years. This is my third g-shock, I have had it for three days, and is probably already my favorite. The color combination really works, even though the purple/sort of aqua blue highlights might seem a bit atypical. I really like the shiny black finish on the band/case, it is more subtle than you might expect but helps the watch feel a bit dressier than other g-shocks with a matte finish. The watch is big, which I like, but not heavy. I don't have the largest wrist, but it doesn't feel absurdly big. It is easy to tell the time, unlike some g-shock ani-digitals. I really like the design overall, so much that I think I want one of the white versions!

This watch looks great. The shiny black band has stayed shiny and new looking after some reasonable wear and the face of the watch looks as bright and colorful as when it was new. The watch doesn't seem to have lost any time since I got it, although I haven't measured it to the second. The illumination is nothing special and the digital times and readings are not as bright as could be, but as a fashion item to be admired by others and the owner this gets much positive attention. This is one of my favorite Casios (but I love them all) because of the blues and purples. All of the functions work but are not used much. I wear this watch band on the last set of holes, and it sits very comfortably on my wrist. I get good comments regularly when I wear it. D

The watch size (diameter) is a real put off (too big), but I didn't take off any stars for that, because it's really subjective. I have 2 high quality fully digital g-shock watches. I wanted an analogue/digital one, so I purchased this. I was immediately turned off by the plastic/glossy finish of the housing and band of the watch. The band seemed overly cheap. The numbers were barely legible even in good light conditions. The only reason I wouldn't give this 0 stars (even if i could) is because it looks pretty. So if you want your watch purely for style points, and are willing to suffer for your style, this might be for you.

Brought for my boyfriend as a birthday present as he's always wanted one. It was packed well and hes in love with it and hardly takes it off.

Great watch. Find the instructions online much easier to read. I love the colour of the dial. An interesting piece for my collection. The band isn't the prettiest but that is standard on most G-shocks

Very simple to setup, with easy to use time zones and alarm settings. High quality look and feel.

This is my second G- Shock watch and I cannot say enough about the build quality. The only issue that I have is that Casio does not make it easy to set up the watch! The manual is very large and I just eventually gave up on trying to follow the manual. Thank goodness for U Tube. If you purchase a G Shock go straight to U Tube and watch how to set up the watch. It took me 4 videos to finally get the digital time to match the analog dial. Casio please provide a setup guide that is easy to follow!
