I got this for my small kitchen window. The metal buttons don't look very good when the ties are down, so I flipped the ties over the top of the rod to the back and it looks fine. It's polyester with a linen look so you'll get a slight shine on the material in certain lights as opposed to classic linen but it's not too bad looking. Keep in mind they will bunch a bit at the top one they are on the rod so they will hang at about 19 inches instead of 20.

I have a front entry door with a window. Whenever a delivery truck pulled up to the front of the house they could see straight in to the living area and one of the bedrooms. I hung these up using a cafe curtain rod and they are perfect. During the day I tie up on each side allowing some light and visibility outside on the sides but block the middle part of the window. At night we release the tie-up straps and let the curtain hang down and they provide 100% privacy. There was an issue getting the snaps to work on the tie-ups but I used a mallet after I couldn't get it to snap by hand and that solved the problem and we can now snap up or release the snap without issues. You really can't beat the quality for this price. I am going to purchase other colors to swap out for the holidays.

What a great valance for the price! I got this for my kitchen window which faces west. We have no trees around our home and that area can get very hot, the thickness of this valance is going to cut down on that! It's attractive and expensive looking, I'm really pleased and would definitely order from this seller again.

love the color - perfect combo of grey/taupe. perfect length. i don't use the 'tie up", I just flip the "strap" to the back and let the entire curtain hang at same length, I have them on a basic cheap standard rod, there is no "extra" hemmed fabric at top for a nice "fringe" so the very top of curtain is what is on the rod(exactly like the picture shows). not a deal breaker at all, esp for the great price. yes, they are wrinkles from being folded up for shipping, washing does not get rid of them, im too lazy to iron. thrilled with my purchase.

Perfect for our small basement window for privacy! I used a 36 inch tension rod and it went up quickly. It isn't completely black out as it lets it some light, but not enough where it'll bother you if you're sleeping and it is sunny out. I like the option to tie up the valance if wanting more light or the view.

These are nice looking window toppers but the snaps don't actually snap together!I've had to safety pin all of them! I bought 9!

Love the fabric it was made from. Love that it is room darkening because it helps cut down on the heat inside our home. I love that the color matches the drapes I have in my home.

The tie ups look great. I hadn’t really planned on getting any type of window covering for these particular windows but ordered on a whim. I’m so glad I did!!!

I bought the dark blue valances. They almost look like dark denim which is fine because they go perfectly with my blue sectional couch. You do not need to double up on the order. Two balances did my patio door just fine. I had to send two back. Very good quality. The snaps were hard to snap so I used pliers to get the job done. I would buy these again for any room in my house.
