Amazing! Wish I knew about these things sooner!! I unfortunately have the terrible habit of picking at my skin (& also have psoriasis), especially ingrown hairs and pimples on my face. I will spend literal HOURS in the bathroom trying to get 1 ingrown hair out. Sometimes, the bleeding is so bad, that after I blot it with toilet paper, it immediately starts pouring out the second I move the TP and makes it impossible to even see the hair anymore to be able to grab it. TMI, I know, but I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who will find this helpful! The worst was if I picked at a scab on my face while getting ready for work, and then the bleeding wouldn't stop and I couldn't finish the rest of my face makeup.. if I had known about these things back then, I would have saved myself a lot of time/headaches. This stops the bleeding almost immediately- even those suckers that bleed sooo bad.. it may take a few tries til it takes finally, but it always does work in the end! Just wet the stick & push onto the spot that is bleeding and the liquid that comes off it will seep into the cut and prevent the bleeding. It does leave a white residue, but after letting it dry completely and giving it some time, I will wipe it off with a damp cloth and put lotion on and its gone. Ladies - this is a MUST-HAVE in your makeup bag if you're a picker like me!!

These do exactly what they're supposed to. I decided it was time to try it after I realized I wasn't going to stop nicking myself while shaving, and they instantly stop bleeding from nicks and scrapes. Do not use them for large cuts. Instead of rubbing them directly on my cuts, I wet a finger and rub it on my finger first, then apply that to the cut as I feel that's more sanitary and keeps junk off of the styptic pencil. I'll keep one of these in my care kit from now on.

Works great for the minor nick. Simple to use and usually stops the bleeding if it's a minor nick. There are some negatives- it stings when first applied, and it deteriorates if you rinse the sticks, which, of course, you have to because of the bloody residue. I've tried others, but this old-fashioned Pinaud brand works the best. The pricing is good, too. Of course, the easier way to prevent nicks is to use fresh razors. PS. To prevent the stick from disintegrating, wait until the stick dries completely before placing it back in the plastic tube (I pat the stick with a paper towel to help dry it).

A must for the first aid kit. Have always had one around. Hard to find in a pharmacy, way to go Amazon! Nice little practical gift.

They work great!!!

This is the one septic stick that works and did the job. My adult dog has three large and leaking skin tags hanging from her chest and they needed to go. After preparation for removal, Pinaud worked immediately and gave me time to finish the job. The fact that three sticks were sent is a plus along with being made in the USA. Great product and seller!
