This worked for my 2014 Chevy Equinox and my wife's 2014 Equinox too. She doesn't have the auto hatch back, so one less button version. Easy to assemble. BUT, a bit of a challenge to demo the existing, original, key fob. I used a Dremel to cut away and break the fob in pieces so as not to crack the existing electronics board. Not impossible and well worth the gamble of trying out a $12 potential solution. Just be patient. Still only took about 45 minutes taking my time. Oh, I also ordered a $12 punch kit. Well worth the added cost in ease and time savings. Same weight and feel as the factory original. Look at some YouTube videos for help.

I replaced similar looking off market shell for my 2014 Chevy Equinox. I was lucky and it was a perfect fit. If you are replacing original Chevy key fob it will not fit the old key. You would need to take it to the engraver. But OEM electronics and battery fit perfect.

I do not recommend this replacement key fob. It is advertised as a drop-in replacement for the factory fob. The electronics and battery dropped in fine but the lugs on the key button and notches on the plastic case molding did not line up with the factory key way. As a result, the button did not fit in the factory key way and factory key did not properly align in the fob (see photo). Furthermore, the spring in the replacement fob is substantially smaller and weaker than the factory spring. The fob functions and the key does fit in the ignition and door. The key does not spring open when the button is pushed (see photo). Also, two minor inconveniences, there were no instructions for opening or replacing the fob, and the Chevy emblem had fallen off the fob in transit (see photo). Neither of these is a major issue but indicative of poor quality. I would not purchase this fob again.

This is a good product, however there are two issues. The key rotating assembly is different than the original. This is not a problem if you intend to have the new key cut. If not, it's necessary to remove the old already cut key and new key from their rotating assembly by driving out the pins that secure them in place, then install the already cut in the new rotator. You will have to file the slot in the old key a bit to get the pin to fit properly. The real issue for me was how the remote start would no longer function. After much gnashing of teeth, realized that on this new fob there was a small round protrusion on the inside of the trunk switch. Once the case is closed this protrusion activates the tiny trunk switch on the internal PC board and the remote start will not function with two switched activated. The fix was almost too simple, just cut that little round protrusion off flat with the rest of the switch activator. Everything works great now, no more issues.

It do ok, but never closed properly with the chip and battery inserted. Either the buttons were messed up or the key got stuck.

What a savings! Instead of going to our local dealer to order a new key fob, we ordered this case. What a cost savings.

Perfect Fit

A little tricky re-assembling it, but I was really happy that it came with the Chevy bowtie sticker to go over the screw for the case on the backside. It looks JUST like the original and flipper button works again on my fob for my 2011 Equinox. No problems. Remote start works. Everything works as it should again. Happy customer.

Didn't match perfectly with the mechanical key, if the spring is armed the key doesn't stay in ,therefore I let the spring loose

This fits perfectly. There is a tiny screw hidden by tape on the back. Remove the tape to open the device.
