Quirky Wrapster for Headphone (Purple)

Love this contraption. It's simple but works. Having broken a few pairs of earbuds since I threw them into my gym bag or purse, this has helped me keep a pair of earbuds in tact. It's smaller than I thought it was going to be, but works perfectly with standard apple ipod earphones and another pair that I purchased. No more detangling every time I get to gym! It's unwrap and go. I've found it works best if I take a moment and slip the ear pieces into the top slots, then wrap the cord around the middle, tucking the plug into the wrapped cord. It's easy to unwrap in seconds - but I don't suggest waiting until you're in the car to try and unwrap it. It's a two hand job. I toss the wrapped wrapster into my purse and it's easy to find by feel (goes into bottom of my bag if I miss the pocket). Very happy with purchase.

I've used several cord wraps for my iPhone headset, and believe this is the best one yet. Pros + Cord won't tangle + Cord won't kink (as long as you wrap it gently) + Cord won't retain some weird twisty shape + Easy to unroll + Easy to roll Cons - Looks silly hanging around your neck - Heavy hanging around your neck (note to Quirky: make it with a honeycomb design to keep rigidity but reduce weight) Overall, a winner. Quirky, if you can make it slightly better using a honeycomb design, that would be awesome. UPDATE After a few weeks of using it, a couple of issues emerged: 1. The cords, and the cord wrapper, got dirty. Not sure exactly why, but gunk just kind of appeared. Not a big deal, but not nice 2. Overall, it was a pain to keep wrapping and unwrapping the cord, as you have to be somewhat precise. So, I just went back to looping it and pocketing it. Not elegant, some twists and knots, but usually not a problem.

When I found this, I was excited. I thought the idea was brilliant. When I actually started using it, I found it a little awkward… Every time I pull the cords, they come out or get stuck, especially the one with the microphone. It really does not work as iphone stand unless you have a case that fits. It you have no case on, it does not work. While using it as a stand, you have to remove the bundled cord. At least, my earbuds stay untangled in my bag, which was my main purpose for this product purchase.

Simply put- genius product. Neat and very practical design. Makes cord management SO much easier; I use it on daily basis. Really helps keep the cord untangled with additional function- could be used as stand/dock. Kudos to the inventor. The pricing on the Quirky.com site is on the high side. I agree with other reviewer who mentioned the shipped product looks dirty; it's more to do with the storage and handling. Purple looks nicer than blue (I own both). Feb 2015 Still serving me well. This item is well designed to organize and store my iphone headset when not in use. Gone are the days of pulling the headset out of my pocket only to have to unwrap it from my keys and anything else that was in my pocket. The size of the quirky wrapster allows the cord to be wrapped without having the microphone or other parts having to "turn the corner", allowing everything to wrap nicely and flat against the wrapster. It is very compact and fits nicely in my pocket.

First, I'd like to make it known that Amazon is selling this for way less than others. Second let me say that I run with my iphone in hand (i can't find an arm strap that doesn't slip off. I have been so frustrated with my cord and my headphones falling out because I feel like I'm wasting time slowing down when I need to replace the headphones back in my ear...annoying! So I read review and I decided to go for this one. I like the idea of it (it keeps the cord from tangling up in my gym bag, too and I love that! The only issue i see with this is that the two helpful little round sides is great except that it puts the cord keeper too close to your neck and the long part is the part below the split wires. I may be using it wrong though. It was less annoying than without...so i'll certainly grant it 4 stars expecially for the cost....I'd go 4.5 but I don't think that I can do that.

This simple design is so well thought-out it's stunning. NOTHING has ever pretended to truly manage my ear-buds. I work-out daily, and simply don't have time or patience to untie knots and play with complex devices that don't work. The sides are curled into a loop in which you press and fit the bud tips and plug end. The rest of cord is wound around the center. I use these to hold a one-bud ear-piece for my smart-phone. Too much talk of high radio levels and cancers concern me. So the phone's bud is wound around QUIRKY in the same manner and carried in my jeans or suit pocket. RARELY - does anything slip out of place. If smartly wound and positioned, this can be the answer to ear-bud tangle hell.

I read all of the reviews before purchasing this cord wrap, and found it barely functional. The wrap *can* be wedged onto the cord with a great deal of difficulty at some point during the wrapping process. The earbud cords spring loose as much as possible once they can, so it is a mess if you put it in your bag or pocket. Forget about wedging each earbud into a track on each side - who has the time? And once you answer a call, the cord wrap falls off somewhere in the bowels of the car - adding to the usual insanity off hands-free - so you have to search between the seats and console at the next traffic light. I have a feeling the designers spent a lot more time watching YouTube videos with the stand feature rather than using the actual wrap feature. Maybe my pair was defective, since the cord wouldn't stay locked in. I found the Sumajin Smartwraps Earphone Cord Manager far more useful for my car, purse, and pocket!

I bought it as a gift but wish I had got one for myself too. It’s really handy and keeps it tidy.

Still the most effective headphone cord wrap design I've found. (The yo-yo type ones are a bit of a pain to wrap a cord around.) My headphones are the kind where the cord for the left ear is much shorter than the one for the right (which goes around the back of the neck), so it doesn't make sense to slip the upper ends of the cord into the grooves provided on the wrap, but otherwise, they're fine. I've never used this as a phone stand.

Keeps my headphones and cables organized

Sadly I lost mine, but it was as described and was a nifty little thing for my earphones, as tangled cables just drive me insane! Would definitely recommend.
