Good quality paint, good brightness painting a spooky graveyard, grave stones and zombies you need to paint matt white on first so the glow part of the paint will glow, paint on thin coats at a time looks better doing it this way.

I’m renovating a bedroom/entertainment room in my house and am looking for novel ideas to make it a little bit special. I came looking for glow-in-the-dark paint and was happy to find Amazon has this product. My thinking was, if I fill small jars, I can place them about the room. I’ll also be using stencils and paint on the walls later on. Firstly, I picked the green paint and bought jars, (also on Amazon) and I filled the jars with 50ml of paint each. The paint is thicker than I’d imagined. And has particulate matter in the solution. Once filled, I waited for dark, left the jars under a lamp for a few minutes and in one of the photos I’ve added to my review you can see the results. I’m happy. By the way: I came up with the idea of filling jars. Four stars !

Really pleased with this product. Arrived quickly and very satisfying results, using it to fill in an engraved slate sign.

The paint is easy to use as it is, but can be thinned quite easily with water, the only problem I have found is that it seems to take ages to properly "charge" the paint (both when it is neat and when thinned) even with a UV torch but when it is charged it can be brighter than some may expect, all in all a decent paint for something that seems to be difficult to find.

Really does glow in the dark after a decent covering

I wanted to use this for painting larger models, but it turned out to be a complete write-off. This is the first product I've given 1 star but I feel it deserves it, considering how much they dress it up in the description.Upon getting the paint I decided to check it under UV light and in the dark. It definitely has some glow, though probably about 70% of what you would expect from glow-paint and doesn't really have much of a cyan/turqouise hue at all (You're better off going for the normal greeny-white if you want a decent glow). No biggie, though, I figured I'd try it out anyway.So I crack open the pot and immediately I notice how jelly-like the consistency looks. It wobbles like a creme caramel and holds its shape as I dip the brush in. Not a good sign.I get it onto the wet pallette and mix in a bit of acrylic thinner and flow improver and begin to work it to an even consistency. I have a blacklight overhead so I can see easily where all the glow paint is on my pallette, but already I can see how large the glow particle size is. They're floating around in the solution, like sand in water, and there's no consistent colour even though it's mixed thoroughly.I can't tell if it's a magnetic charge thing, but the particles seem to want to stay in the reservoir of the brush, instead of being applied to the surface and, in general, the paint has a really greasy feel. This makes painting an absolute ordeal as one has little to no control over the brush and you have to really blob it on to get anywhere.Lots of thin layers almost works, but you'll get more of the acrylic medium on your surface than the glow particles. On drying I found myself left with a thick white crust, even in areas where the particles had not really adhered well.Honestly I had such high hopes for this paint but it fell short at every turn. This might be okay for painting on wallpaper but don't even bother trying anything precise with it.

Positives1. Genuinely Glows. Like Really. The green/ blue colours will glow just from ambient light. I've had the pots inside a glass cabinet and they glow throughout the night.2. Very quick to charge with lasting glow. A few seconds from a phone torch will make these glow in broad daylight! Especially the green colour. If you charge it for a few minutes you can use it as a torch it's that bright3. Pink has a beautiful and vibrant pink colour, glows a beautiful orangeNegatives1. Paint might not be thick enough depending on surface. I used these on a gloss painted metal surface and using a brush wasn't doing it. I used a painting knife to paint instead and that worked as it didn't drag the paint around2. The pink is a nice pink, but the green and blue do not have strong colour pigments in them. They look quite translucent in the light/ when not glowing. So if you want paint that's vibrant during the day and also glows during the night, you will have to paint the green/ blue over an already painted surface.3. I tried combining these with acrylic colours I already had, thought I could make them glow. Does not work. I tried it with opaque acrylic colours. You might have better luck with transparent acrylic colours.
