I thought this would be a good saw for tree trimming and cutting down small trees
I bought this saw 2 weeks ago and was finally able to use it today. I thought this would be a good saw for tree trimming and cutting down small trees. I compared it to other brands and noticed the saw was lighter than the other brands in its price range. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the saw looked used. I called Amazon to make sure I did purchase a new, not refurbished saw. The saw was supposed to be new but it was obviously not. I told the customer service rep that I would use it and if it worked properly then I would keep it. I went out to my property to cut limbs today. The first thing I noticed when I started the saw was the idle was set extremely high. It was set so high that the chain would turn with the throttle released. I turned the idle down and the saw cut fine for a couple of hours. I noticed the longer I used it, the weaker it got. I would cut into a small limb and the saw would bog down and die. Every time it would die, it got extremely harder to start. The last time it died, I could not get it to start. Obviously there was something wrong with this saw and it was returned. I'm not sure I will take my chances on this brand again based on other reviews I have read.

Hard to start, especially after using it.
I have this chainsaw, and can confirm what others say, it is HARD to start after you have used it a bit during the day. It does take 5->8 pulls to get it going when the day starts, but after you turn it off , even before using up 1 tank of gas, it will not re-start.I've had chainsaws for nearly 50 years, and this one is totally garbage. The only good thing is the chain and bar.

Pass it up go to another.
This chainsaw is ridiculously hard to start. Its really too bad that I live in a nice neighborhood with lots of children because I would love to swear up a storm right now. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't touch the thing with a ten foot pole. What a piece.
