Installed just fine. Called my monitoring company after the install. Sent the the old Sim, Mac and Imei ID from 2G cellular modem and new ones from this one and they did the activation. It came right online and all was happy.Oops... not enough power.As for the install... I did not have enough power in my vista 20P panel and I had to install an additional power supply just for this.Ahhhh... and why did I have to install a power supply... because this one does not come with a power supply. It is designed to run off the panel power. Newer panels have enough power for all these gadgets. The older 2G cellular modem came with their own power supply.. and battery.Oh yes, there is more....since I had to add an AD12612 power supply, I had to get a separate 1250 battery for it (this is because the unit charges battery... so you should not be sharing the connection with another power supply battery).Its nice they can build a modem that has only 250ma draw... but my vista 20P says it can support up to 600ma.So in the end... this was not a bad exercise... even though I had to wait for more parts and spend more money. I had upgraded my keypads a while back... and when I did that I kind of was at or above the power limit anyways.Power is everything...The siren's when they are going offKeypad with backlight and large LCDKeypad with wireless and large displayGlass BreaksMotion Sensors that are wired... basically anything drawing power off the 3,4,5 pnis.One more tip... if you have to add power... pay attention to the ground that has to be linked to the ground on the main panel. Without it nothing will work off the new power supply.If I had an operational CON... since the thing is way up by the ceiling... I have to turn the lights off in the room to see what lights are lit. They are not bright enough to see at an angle from the floor.

Amazon ad says it is a "Digital Cellular Communicator". It does not, however, communicate to any cell phone. It communicates only via "radio" which may be the same network, but only to central stations or Honeywell. Cannot contact your cell phone. Honeywell's firmware won't allow you to dial the number of your choice. Only central stations and you have to register with them. I had a security system in the past that was wireless with a SIM card and it would call and text my cell phone for any reason. If I lived far away from civilization, i don't need a central station or the police. I need to know something is happening in my barn.

This cellular device works very well and is quite easy to install. If you are upgrading from 2G to 4G you should be aware that older Vista alarm units may not be able to handle 4G. I had to upgrade my eleven year old Vista 15P.

The price was right on this product. It was less than my usual security parts supply house. It worked great and picked up cellular signal well. Definitely will buy here again when next I need one.

Installer advised you must have a Honeywell account to activate, so I returned it. Cannot speak for this item the than that.

Works Perfect. installed it in my Vista-20P alarm system, contacted alarm net and had it set up easy.I will not have it any other way.

Dialer does not work in my country. Olds version did. But now I have unit that can't call my security company or my mobile to alert me.
