Anthem Athletics 50/50 MMA Fight Shorts - BJJ, Muay Thai, WOD, Cross-Training, OCR

I am a Brazilian jiu jitsu practitioner and these are my first fight shorts. I have big hips and lots of flexibility, so I am happy to report that they have given my no trouble in terms of movement or comfort. Also, the velcro in the fly has held up rather better than I had hoped. The only complaint I have about these shorts is that a seam in the leg (both legs now) started losing stitches almost immediately (within the first week.) The top and bottom pieces of the leg are held together by 3 stitches, and the two supporting ones have broken about an inch so far.As a sometime tailor myself, I appreciate the challenge of constructing something that can survive grappling, but as each leg is losing stitches in the same place now, I wish these had lasted longer than they have.

Originally I looked to Anthem to provide me with MMA spats (OK, they're tights) to protect my knees from pads, mats, and people. When I say that they had fight shorts I was immediately in and ordered a pair. These are just as nice as my more expensive fight shorts, are well constructed (they've seen hours and hours of action already), and super lightweight. They have become my primary fight shorts and I have relegated my more expensive shorts to backup duty - primarily because these shorts are so much lighter. So far, everything I have ordered from Anthem to support my Krav Maga habit has been a win.

Nice shorts. Unfortunately they only have 2 colors (black or black and grey) in my size. The ones that I really want are the sharp looking red ones, the really nice looking blue ones, and the stellar military green ones. However, none of my favorite options are in my size (3XXX). How long is it going to take for you to have my favorite colors in my size? Why do you only have my size in the basic dull colors. Finally found a pair of shorts that fit and feel good, so please update your inventory, so I can spend more money on your product. Will switch to 5 stars once you restock my size.

Tried a few different brands for Muay Thai shorts and these are the best. Very, very comfortable and I love the fact that I feel like I can do a kick without the shorts getting in the way.I am 5'7" and weigh about 190 lbs with decent sized legs. I ordered the XL and they fit great. A little long but there is absolutely no interference when I kick. I would rather have them be a little big than a little small.I like them so much I just bought them in a different color.

Just bought these after deciding to pick up a little more serious gear for my muay thai training. From the moment I touched these shorts I could feel the quality was invested into creating this product. For the price these shorts are a steal compared to the other options out there. So far I have purchased my 16 ounce gloves and these shorts from Anthem and I am extremely happy with both. I'll be purchasing another pair of these soon no question.

Great shorts for the price, excellent quality. These have the highest slits I could find on any mma shorts. The material and slits combined provide excellent range of motion for kickboxing. Easy to wash, retains its color and the material does not seem to thin out with multiple washings as many MMA shorts do. Definitely recommend!!

This has to be my 6th or 7th pair of Anthem shorts and these are by far my favorite. The 50/50 shorts are amazing! The cut is slightly higher for easier leg movement and the stretch waste with drawstring gives you great movement. The size is spot on, I wear a 34 and the large was perfect. Great job Anthem!

Great shortsNice material, lightweight, flexible, and breathable. I've owned all the "big brands", and these compare nicely, and fit better than a lot of them. I've got an athletic build so I'm always struggling to find shorts that fit both my waist and legs comfortably. The side slit design and elastic waistband solved my typical issues and fit my legs without being too big in the waist.
