Intex 48-Inch Pool Ladder

We've had our Intex metal frame above ground pool for five years and it gets a lot of use for most of the year. The Florida sun and humidity finally took their toll on the original ladder forcing us to purchase a replacement. We did our due diligence researching new ladders including the Intex site itself. We couldn't find a suitable replacement that was affordable or of similar design/quality to the original ladder. Finally we found exactly what we needed on Amazon. We're glad we made this purchase for several reasons: (a.) the price was better than several other distributors (b.) shipping was covered under Amazon Prime (a $17 - $38 value) (c.) the product arrived within a few days in excellent condition and (d.) this particular ladder is actually better than the original one. The directions are easy to follow and the product assembles easily too. Tools required: a screw driver and wrench. Total assembly time: 15 minutes. This is a sturdy product and we suspect it will last as long, if not longer, than our previous ladder.Update 8/3/13: The ladder shown and sold currently IS NOT the item originally purchased and reviewed here. Intex no longer makes that pool ladder (sturdier and with top platform/step). While that ladder was as described above (and lasted several seasons) this version is flimsier, without the top platform/step (which made it sturdier) and is made of cheaper materials. This version is also close to $30 - $40 more than the one I'd originally purchased. So, how do I know this is different? Well, the salt water of our above ground finally took it's toll on that ladder and this is the replacement version I've just received (only $90 at another online retailer). While the ladder is easy to build and serves it's intended purpose, the differences are apparent: cheaper product sold at a higher price = higher profit margin. Do not base my original review on the product currently sold.

I am a mechanical engineer, so I recognize good design and craftmanship.For a low-cost ladder, this is well-designed and manufactured. It is very narrow, so large persons will have a tight squeeze thru the bars on top. I had to put a piece of protective tubing over the feet that rest on the pool liner bottom, as I was concerned that liner damage would occur from relatively sharp edges on the feet (although it is a relatively soft plastic cap over the metal tubing) Well worth the money if you need an inexpensive ladder that will be used by only children and smaller adults.

This is a great little ladder for the price. Just what I was looking for. Pretty sturdy. Suitable for medium sized adults and kids. Other ladders from pool supply places were much bigger and sturdier but also much bulkier, heavier, way more expensive and difficult to maneuver. This ladder is easy to lift and remove if you want to have an unobstructed pool while in the pool or just to remove after use for safety.

It works but opens up wide and leaves a huge open space to step across at top. Our last ladder hugged sides a lot more but it was 25 years old. Fell apart.

Almost prefect. We did have to add wood at the top to stand and cross over to the pool. Great investment.

Easy to out together and just the right size. Just a little flimsy which is due to the height most likely. Otherwise a very good product.

Die Lieferung der Leiter erfolgte prompt. Der Zusammenbau war einfach und die Leiter macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Ein bisschen gewöhnungsbedürftig ist, dass man bei dieser Ausführung (keine Platte) doch recht gelenkig sein muss, um dann jeweils auf die andere Seite der Leiter zu gelangen. Alles in allem aber top!

kann 1/2 gekürzt werden, nach Entfernen der Hülsen verbleiben Plastic-verschlossene Rohrenden, somit auch für 2/3 eingelassene Pools nutzbar.Etwas klapprig, da jedes Seitenteil aus 5 Stücken zusammengesteckt ist, somit ist eine ständige Wanderung beim Ein-Aussteigen vorhanden.Dennoch stabil und Standsicher !

Das ist eine sehr stabile Treppe für den Pool. Ging auch sehr zusammen Bau sehr schnell und alles sehr übersichtlich.. Immer wieder gerne

recht gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wenn die Leiter nicht hauptsächlich und viel durch lebhafte Kinder beansprucht wird, reichts durchaus. Aufbau usw. - kein Problem.

Da uns bereits das Modell für Pools bis 100 cm Höhe bekannt war und sich bewährt hatte, haben wir nun wegen eines höheren Pools die höhere variante gewählt. Für Personen mit mehr als 80 kg ist dieses Modell viel zu wackelig und auch bei normal gewichtigen Personen etwas zu schmal bemessen.
