Authentic, healthy Prime Ark Freedom
I purchased these plants in April of 2022. They arrived disease-free and vigorous, and I planted them immediately in their own semi-rasied beds near a fence line. Like any good gardener, I took some time before the purchase to learn about the cultivar and its requirements. While the plants all grew to over 5 feet in their first year, they did not flower. I was only mildly disappointed, as I knew that may happen. This spring, after being properly pruned during the winter, they are exploding with flowers which will hopefully become berries. Regardless, the plants themselves are authentic Prime Ark Freedom and they are not difficult to maintain. They grow very quickly and there are some tipping requirements to help them branch, but in general they are very disease and rust resistant and easy. They do spread via root suckers, I've found them as far as two feet away from the main stem, but those are easily trimmed. I use Miracle-gro Performance Organics General Purpose and Edibles fertilizers, with the Edibles being used during flowering fruiting. I am in USDA Climate Zone 8a, in SC. I absolutely recommend this variety and this vendor.

Best live plant I have received in the mail
The shipping got delayed, so I was worried, but the little small plants arrived and still had moisture in the box. They all looked healthy and I planted them right away, so I expect a great success rate. Probably the best looking live plant that Iโve ever received in the mail.

Small plants with a great option to grow
Be advised that these plants are very small. We've had these blackberry vines at another home but those were much larger. We'll see how well these grow & produce. The earlier vines produced well & the berries are large & tasty.

Overpriced seedlings. Arrived late and poorly protected in transport
Package received 4 days late. I had ordered 4 Sweetie Pie and 4 Prime Ark plants from the same seller so they came together. They were jammed into a very small box (that my mail lady further compressed to get into my mailbox). When I opened them they are tiny little plants in jiffy pots that are in small, open ziplock bags wrapped in dry papertowels. The dirt from the pots was everywhere and got all over my kitchen island and floor while carefully opening. This would have all been forgivable if the wee baby planties looked ok.... they did not. They are teeny, wilty, have mildew leaf spots, and are ***actually just tiny plugs (less than 1") replanted into a larger jiffy pot right before shipment** this thing was a seed like 1.5 months ago. This is not a mature 2.5" pot bursting with roots and ready to be planted outside in a protected place. These are teeny seedlings that i had to repot/upgrade to 3" pots and itll be the end of the summer before they fill these tiny pots (if they even survive). Please learn from my mistake and shop elsewhere. I'm just glad i didnt buy more based on the decent reviews. I have pictures and will try to upload them. The actual root plug of the plant is the same width as the plant name marker in the pot..... a joke!

Nice blackberry plants
A year later: These blackberry plants are wonderful; They're healthy and thriving. I highly recommend them to you. A year earlier: these blackberry plants arrived in good shape. I planted them and they're still alive. . . . can't wait to taste their fruit; . . . maybe nAext year. (I almost called them blackberry briars, but they're thornless.)

One died quickly, the rest are slowly progressing
The arrived very quickly and were as described. Young plants like these are very fragile. They can't withstand much in the way of stress and definitely can't withstand the full day of sun. They have to be transplanted into a larger pot, with room to grow a bit, and kept in a place where they're limited to about 3 hours of sun per day, and lots of shade. After several months of this, they can be planted in the ground, if that's what you choose. I got them into larger pots, with some good potting mix. One of them died very quickly, because they are very fragile. Another died shortly after transplanting into it's permanent home. The other two are progressing, although it's very slowly. One of the reasons might be that it's just too hot for them in Texas in July. Even when they're healthy enough to transplant into the ground, you don't want to do it when it's over 100 degrees, because they might not survive. If I had to do it over again, I might just spend the extra money and get the more mature plants. If you are willing to nurse these to maturity, they're a good value. But if you want plants that are more mature than this, and stand a better chance of survival, spend the extra money and get the more mature plants.

Over All A Good Value
I was -almost-disappointed . The plants upon arrival were under two inches tall. The itty bitty things were in overly wet soil. They were shipped out in the beginning of Jan to zone 5b. It was smack dead winter.. The prime ark freedom blackberries , did arrive with some dieback . Though, the plants over all did well to be shipped during winter to my zone 5b. I put them in 4 inch pots, as soon as I opened them. I also kept them under grow lights. So, for they are doing well, and have put on a wee bit of growth. I really do not appreciate a misleading item description. Though, I do appreciate having the plants regardless. (Mis leading description made no difference in the overall growth and quality)I do not regret the purchase. They are just a little addition to my happy gardening .. The biggest pro of this purchase, is the value. If I had known this was the size plant Iโd be getting from the get go, Iโd had still ordered.( 9 months later) the prime ark freedom blackberries are just a wee under 6 feet tall , and blooming! Being in zone 5b, I will not be getting fruit this year! Though, if you are in a warmer zone, you *might actually get fruit the first year. I planted my prime ark freedom blackberries in spring after last frost. The plants did not appear to be dormant upon arrival.. super excited over this purchase!! Canโt wait till next year!! I highly recommend these thornless blackberries.
