These are the exact size that is required for a perfect fit into Yaesu hand held microphones
These are the exact size that is required for a perfect fit into the back side of Yaesu hand held microphones replacing the original plastic button. This allows hanging the MIC anywhere that is magnetic, such as the cabinet, almost anywhere without a MIC clip to hang it on. (the recess is NOT an even metric size, it is 1/2") It takes two of these magnets to replace the original button. The magnetic strength of these two magnets add together is great and the strength of each magnet is quite high, making the pair very strong. I have bought several sizes that are quite close, but they were weaker and a poor fit, this is the perfect fit for these MICs. I also use these with a #4 flat headed wood screw on the edges of doors (at the striker plate) to hold the door closed without latching them. Ron W4BIN

As strong as you want; subtle thickness variations
These arrived far faster than promised; yay! Means I got to put them to use right away. I ordered 40 (two sets of 20) and got 41. They seemed to be of the opposing-poles, as advertised, with the one extra. But (at least) one magnet proved to be broken; this may have been as-shipped, or could have happened afterwards. They are indeed very strong, which is perfect for my application. The variation in thickness - you can tell because the parallel stacks don't perfectly line up - was OK in my case, but be aware if you need them to be spot on. The loss of a star would have been just a 1/2 based on this variation along with the broken magnet. I'd buy them again.

Work well for use applied to.
Work as they should.

Strong little magnet
Works well. I glued one to the door and put the other in the bump stop. Just strong enough to hold the door without the wind blowing closed

Brittle pieces of garbage.
I attempted installing a few of these for a magnet project. I went through about 6-8 of them, every single one of them broke. I was setting a screw in the countersunk hole. I even tried hand-tightening with a handheld screwdriver. I was so careful by the time I gave up, that I would try to get the screw to only barely make contact with the magnet. This was to avoid spinning, and they still broke apart like a crushed ritz cracker. These are now in my garbage.

only strong enough for lighter weight tools
used for hanging woodworking hand tools on board mounted to wall

Fragile!
I purchased these for use with my art business and I have been pretty disappointed with how easily these magnets shatter. One of every 4 magnets I've used in this set have shattered with minimal pressure, so they are very fragile. Of the ones that do not shatter, they have a strong magnetic hold and work well for the projects I have used them on.
