Korean Sweet Pancake Mix, Hotteok (14.10 oz) By Beksul (Original, 1 Pack)

These were a very yummy treat! This was my first time ever trying hotteok so I can't say if the taste is authentic or not, but I found these to be super delicious and I think they turned out quite well. The instructions on the box were simple and easy to follow. If you have leftovers, these freeze wonderfully. From frozen I reheat in the air fryer on 360F for 2 mins on each side (4 mins total). So good! Only complaint I have is the price is a bit too expensive so it probably won't be a regular purchase, but I'm so glad I tried it as they did not disappoint! I would totally recommend honestly.

Purchased a while ago & decided to write a review. First time purchasing this on here so wasn’t sure what to expect. But it arrived undamaged & fine so I thought. Didn’t realize it at the time but it was missing a yeast packet. I made it without it which still came out fine without the slight puffy rise to it. But I had bought another same brand box at the store recently and it HAD the yeast packet which I was surprised since I didn’t know it was suppose to be included when I purchased it here. Not sure why my box was missing the yeast packet (which also says it’s included on the box) but that was my only main flaw for this purchase. Other than that, it came out good and delicious. Would purchase again. Hopefully with everything it comes with arrives when I do.

I was pleasantly surprised. Let me start off with saying I’ve never had hotteok from Korea. As an ARMY, during the winter one of the guys inevitably talks about hotteok and I’ve been dying to try it. I thought it was going to be hard to make (I do not do well with dough). It was super easy, super quick and super delicious. It also came with EVERYTHING, even the filling. You need water, a bowl and oil for cooking. It may be pricey, but we don’t have Korean shops in Indiana. So to me, the convenience was worth it.

I missed hotteok in Korea and this was easy to follow and the taste was authentic. I used this for my Korean cooking class as well. It was fun to make it at home.

Making these are time consuming and you need the tool for flattening them. They're essentially pancake mix bought for a treat but if you plan on making A-LOT of them its cheaper to buy bulk ingredients and make homemade. For the quantity they make and price its not a good value but for a treat the mix is quick

This is now one of my favorite snacks. So simple to make and fast. I can't compare it to the authentic Korean street food because I've never had those. But this packaged version is great. It's crunchchewy and just sweet enough. I will definitely be buying lots more for sure. I don't know what the value is but just under $10 doesn't seem out of line for 8 pieces. Tip: Don't forget to oil your hands before kneading or you'll have a sticky mess.

Schmeckt sehr gut und ist einfach zu machen. Kann nach dem Abkühlen auch kalt gut gegessen werden.
