RiverRidge Somerset Two-Door Floor Cabinet, Gray

This cabinet was exactly what I wanted. Yes, it's inexpensive and had to be assembled. It is by far a nicer cabinet that others I have bought for comparable prices. It was a breeze to put together compared to Sauder and Ikea furniture I have assembled. One screw driver. No stupid hex key or Allen wrench to wrestle with. It is sturdier than I expected after reading reviews. It is also heavier than other self-assemble furniture I have had in the past. The doors lined up nicely. I had to think about the installation of the drawer slides before I put them on because the picture is not clear in regards to what direction they go on, but I attached all four slide pieces right the first time and they work properly. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy the cabinet went together , how sturdy it is and how great it looks after reading such negative reviews and being prepared for the worst. -

It takes a long time to put together, but I like it very much! I use it in my bathroom to store all my hair items. Hot rollers, flat iron etc. and I’ve got extra space.

This is a really good cabinet and fit my needs perfectly. It took the better part of the morning to put together, but then, someone with more experience might get it together in an hour.Pros:1) Only requires a Phillips screwdriver to put together.2) Each piece and part was well-labeled. The instructions included the usual parts description and picture page, but also each piece had a little sticker on it that corresponded to the written description. I.e. Part 1 - there is a picture of part 1 in the instructions and Part 1 has a sticker with a 1 on it.Minor issues:1) Instructions say electric screwdriver is not recommended. I took this advice and really irritated my tendonitis trying to drive in screws that just had starter holes. I finally gave in and used my electric, and it was so much better. I could have shaved at least an hour off my assembly time, and probably would have had a sturdier end result.2) Some of the instructions seem out of order. It has you put the large pieces together, then install the hardware. In many cases, it would have been easier to install the hardware first.3) Those handy part stickers have very strong adhesive. I had to go over the piece with goo gone afterwards to get off all the leftover adhesive.4) The instructions for the drawer slides were not specific about which part of the slide needed to attach to which part of the drawer, and the pictures were so small you couldn't really tell which way a piece went. Some people might be familiar with drawer slides and wouldn't find this a problem, but this was my first drawer and I installed in backwards on my first attempt.4) I wish it had one more shelf.Overall the end result is just great. But I do think the assembly instructions could be improved upon.

The media could not be loaded.  I hesitated a bit because it was pricier than other cabinets but I’m glad I got this! Instructions were easy to follow and it didn’t take too long to put together. Seems pretty sturdy and I love that the doors have magnets. I think this would also make a great entryway cabinet for small spaces.

Arrived very well packaged and all pieces were labeled. The instructions are very thorough and easy to follow. Very pleased with the end result!

The cabinet was not difficult to assemble according to instructions; however, one of the C connectors broke when trying to install, and 1 other was missing which makes us wonder about the stability when we put things into finished cabinet. Two screws were missing while others had extra , but we were able to find some that match ourselves. There is a chip on the side of top & we are hoping to find paint to repair as it would be easier than disassembling to return. It has a nice appearance & gives us the extra storage space that we need in the bathroom. As much as it wobbles when standing up, it might rectify itself when things are put inside or we will try to balance it ourselves with some type of levelers on bottom. Fair value & quality.

This item was very well built and the instructions were easy to follow. Once the assembly was completed it looked very good unfortunately my wife ordered the wrong one and had me return it. The company issued a full return with no haggling.

I first bought this cabinet 7 years ago, then 2 1/2 years ago to replace the aging cabinet and now to replace the second one because the doors no longer close properly. Each time the quality has been poorer than the one previously bought. I do not plan on buying it again!I am only keeping this one because it took me so long to put it together, and I have compensated for the problems. As shown in the photo, the doors DO NOT line up. They are off by about 1/4 inch. I ended up moving the metal strip up on the right door; this strip would normally adhere to the magnet on the inside of the cabinet. But with the doors so out of whack, only one door was adhering. There is no way to move the doors on the hinges either to address the problem because this area is precut and they are not set at the same distance on each door!My advise is to save yourself the frustration I had in putting this cabinet together and do not buy it. There are other white cabinets out there at similar or even lower prices!

It's the perfect size to fit in the corner of my kitchen. I liked the fact that it has a drawer to store writing materials, mail, and notepads, bills, etc., as well as a cupboard for extra dishes and/or chinaware. Assembly was fairly easy and went smoothly.

I needed a shallow and pretty narrow cabinet that was exactly these dimensions. After a long search I found this and wanted it in white which was not available. I bought the grey hoping it would work and as you can see, it works perfectly with our set up and the colour is a soft blue/grey depending on your lighting. It took me just under two hours to build because I took my time. The doors are perfectly lined up and it is solid and sturdy. The instructions were super easy to follow and well labelled. Thank you, I am very happy with this purchase.

Very happy with the purchase. It's not to tall not too short. Three shelves. Took a little time to put together, but the quality is excellent for the money. No regrets with this purchase.

I purchased this as an entrance way shoe cabinet, though it's not quite deep enough for some of my shoes, hence the sideways storage (also due to my big feet I suppose 😂) .While the assembly was straightforward due to both cabinet components and hardware being numbered and alphabetized, it was extremely laborious, taking me just over 2 hours to assemble. I noted the others' reviews about misaligned seams upon completion, so I wanted to take my time and do it right. Despite this, you will see from pics that the seams are asymmetrical in many areas. While this doesn't affect the functionality of the drawers or doors, it still bothers me, especially given what I paid for this ($310 CAD). It also speaks to the quality issues, as I assembled this correctly and tightly throughout.Given all that, I still think it looks great and it serves it's ultimate purpose, however I wouldn't pay more than $150 CAD for this.

Easy to build. Product as expected.
