So much better than a rubber seal. I could never get them to stay and was constantly losing my water. Easy to install, make sure you measure correctly. Holds water, drains well. Works great with my garage disposal.

Absolutely love the look, matches sink perfectly. Wasn't until installing I realized it does not replace the flange assembly that comes with the garbage disposal. So don't spend time removing the old thinking this will replace it. As others mentioned, this flange is solely for looks. It fits over the top of the stainless steel flange. It's not long enough and doesn't have the appropriate grooves. I haven't experienced water puddling but it's easy to remove, clean and replace if needed. A bit overpriced considering it is just for appearance.

When you caulk this in, you cannot easily get it out and you won't be able to reach into the drain should a foreign object get dropped in because your hand won't fit. If you don't caulk, mold and gunk build up between the actual drain and the cover. This is like the fourth I've had in a year--at least one not from this company. None worked well for the disposer drain.

We installed a new sink and got this matching plug unit. It looks great, stops the water from draining when pushed down and is well build. But! As a filter to keep food or anything from going down the drain, it is a terrible design. It only stops large items. We are on a septic tank and for years have used a little $2 stainless steel wire screen and it caught everything. Now almost everythng the old screen caught slips right by and down the drain. Our poor septic tank doesn't know what's going on. The water drains through a disposal which we never had to use before. Now, all those little pieces of food (that were being trapped in the filter) are going into the disposal, which we now have to acutally turn on to get it to drain. I rated it a 3 because it does look nice and stops water. As a filter, it's a 1.

This stopper it perfect! It matches exact! Just keep in mind you should remove it at least once a week to clear underneath it and around the rubber stopper. It tend to get build up and your sink might start to stink. I would definelty recommend it. I actually purchased two at the same time. That way if the rubber wears out or something happens I have a backup. I plan on having this sink for many years and didn't want this part to get discontinued if they change colors.
