Great kitchen tool. Highly recommend. Great price too.
What a bargain. Wasn't sure how well it would work for the price, but was totally surprised! Works great. Easy to prepare omelets or overwell eggs for sandwiches. Cook 7 mins for 2 egg omelet, 2 mins for popped spread out yolk eggs for easy sandwich. Add your cheese to either after cooking, melts in 20 seconds and doesn't stick. Great kitchen tool. Easy cleanup.

The omelettes were excellent
This product does, indeed, make excellent omelettes albeit they are a bit on the small side. It would be fine for one person but the size might be a bit skimpy for two people. The omelettes come out perfectly and they are nice an fluffy - very tasty with the additions. I use cheese and onions with either some spinach or some bean sprouts. There is more than enough for one person but here is the problem. It is barely enough for two people. It is fine if you use 2 eggs and add other ingredients but that means that each omelette will be made with just one egg. Three (3) eggs is OK if you use no other ingredients. For one person, using one side for eggs and the other side for frozen hash browns, it would probably be just fine as long as that person is not a very big eater. It would not be fine, however, for say a teenager or a young adult male. The portions are going to be too small in that case. If an adult couple is planning to go camping and use this devise in an RV or camper, they are probably going to need two of them. It takes about 6 minutes or so to cook the omelette and a side of hash browns. This food is going to get cold if you wait another 6-7 minutes to cook the food for the second person in round 2. If two people want to sit down together and eat breakfast at the same time, it would be best to bring along two of these devises. It would be fine if the couple is going to cook the two omelettes in this devise and use a second item, such as a frying pan or electric griddle to make the hash browns or pancakes or whatever the people are going to cook to serve with the omelettes. The omelettes it makes are really nice BUT this is not the item to buy for purposes of serving hearty eaters. If you are going to be using this devise to make omelettes for persons with hearty appetites, plan to also bring along or use at home a large frying plan - electric or stove top - to make lots of hash browns or lots of pancakes to go with the omelettes.

Where have you been all my life?!
Now that I have this in my life I simply won't be able to live without it. I love omelets. As somebody that has no culinary skills this is the answer to my prayers. It's so simple and makes great omelets. I'm on the keto diet so I use this at least twice a day. Just know that your omelets are going to be a bit different than what you get on a pan, the outside is going to be brown and the omelet is more "cake-like" than what you may be used to. Doesn't bother me, still tastes delicious! This is for quick and easy omelets that are tasty, if you want diner quality you should probably go to a diner or get your pan out. It only takes me about 5 minutes to cook my omelets. I see others say 8-10 minutes but all I know is that for my grill, it's perfectly done in about 5 minutes. But I do have my own strategy that I provide at the end of the review with tips. I want to add that I read a lot of reviews for this product since I wanted to be informed. Reading the negative reviews, it does seem that there may be some kind of inconsistency with the heating element for some people. I saw people complain about burnt eggs or it taking too long or a runny middle. I have none of those problems with my unit. If you are experiencing these problems you may want to return it or read my tips, they might help you. This is definitely something I would recommend to anybody that wants quick and easy eggs. However, if I could give it 4.5 stars instead of 5 I would, only because there is some room for improvement. For one, this thing gets real HOT. Do not touch the outside of this unit ever when it's on or you will get burned. Keep anything away from it while it is in operation. Also there is no power button or switch so you have to plug it in every time. I use an extension cord, just makes it easier for me to do this. Also there isn't a timer or anything, you just have to pay attention and figure out the timing on your own. Last, there does seem to be inconsistency for some people on how long it takes to cook the eggs, that makes it a bit harder to recommend to others not knowing what they might get. Now that said, let me get straight into the tips on how to make a good omelet with this maker! First- Use a jar to shake up the eggs and spices. Don't add your ingredients in the jar, just the eggs, it just makes the shaking take longer. It's a personal preference but why make more work than you have to by dirtying dishes? After you are done simply stick the jar in the fridge, or if you are done with the maker for a while, rinse it out and put it away. Second- Use 3 Eggs total for both sides AND use two tablespoons of water. Yes you read that right, WATER. Add the water to your jar when you are going to shake the eggs up. This is going to puff up your omelet real nice. Mix it all together in the jar. Third- With your grill already pre-heated, fill both sides of the grill with your mixed egg, BUT only about half way. Then add your ingredients directly into the eggs on the grill. Have your ingredients ready so you're not wasting time while the eggs are cooking. You don't want to overfill and this prevents that because you can stop adding ingredients if you are approaching the top of the fill line. If you have more room after adding ingredients, top off with the rest of the egg mix in your jar. Again, you can bring it right to the edge, just don't go over it. Close the lid. Fourth- Wait for the grill lid to start rising. If you did it right you should see the lid rise slightly. For me this takes about 3 minutes. Once the lid has risen on its own a fair bit, pull up the lid all the way and poke a hole directly in the middle of both omelets. They should both look pretty big at this point. Just a slight hole with something like a knife. This helps cook the middle a bit better and doesn't deflate the omelet. Place the lid back down. Fifth- At this point I usually just have to wait about 2-3 more minutes. I then remove the eggs with a rubber spatula and I get a perfect omelet every time!

Nice frittata maker.
This is a dang frittata maker. Don't let nobody tell you otherwise. Granted, I don't fully know what a frittata is (too fancy for my patience), but I'm pretty sure if you pull up a dictionary, this maker will be next to the definition. Or... You can see my humor and just Google it and realize that what comes out of this thing looks mighty similar to what a frittata looks like. I think that has a hand in why some people say this tastes off. It's like an egg quiche without a crust. So, yeah, a frittata. If you go into it with that in mind, you'll be quite pleased with the unit. It sort of steams/cake-ify the eggs and they really are done in about 10 minutes. Cleanup is beautiful, as is prep. I've used it once, so here's some callouts from my trial & error: 1) Definitely don't over fill it. I had some cheese boil out. Nothing major, just made me wonder what was sizzling. O_o 2) The amount of steam/smoke stuff coming out the sides is alarming--your frittata is most likely not burning. But you may want to check. 3) Okay, my bottom burnt and I only cooked it for 9 minutes 20 seconds (I used a timer, I'm not that anal). It seems to have overcooked where the cheese/ham was. 4) It comes out mad thicc, but when the air hits it, it will deflate. It's still about 2" thick even after deflation. 5) Next time, I'll "layer" the ingredients so the eggs goes on the bottom (let it set), fixings in the middle (let it set again) and top it off with the last bit of egg. This is to prevent burned eggies cuz I hate burned eggies. >:( 6) Definitely use some oil. Not because stuff will because stick otherwise, but because I just feel like it's a good practice to oil your non-sticks. Take care of your appliances folks. 7) Tastes like a frittata--I think. Or, just puffy, tasteless egg. :) Don't get me wrong, it's good! It's just not going to taste like a skillet cooked omelet. At least, not without milk. I'll try that next time. 8) Oh, and frittata recipes say to only beat eggs and yolks until they're blended to prevent collapsed frittatas after they're taken out of the oven. I'm going to try this trick next time I make this frittata. I think that's it. Enjoy your frittata maker! :D I do!

Reasonable perfect quick omletts
Anyone that loves omelets should consider this product. Makes beautiful perfect omelets in 10 minutes. The vegetables were perfect. So quick and easy. And reasonably priced and compact for storage

Who knew making omelets was SO EASY, safe and simple to clean and use!
I'm making alot of omelets now! I recently saw one of these at a hotel breakfast in Tennessee, and they had the BEST fresh food ever, and people were making their own omelets with just two eggs...add other ingredients if you want. SIMPLE to use, plug and cook on red (takes about 5-10 minutes to cook thoroughly), unplug when green --- no buttons to mess with. Comes with an instruction book and many recipes inside. Mine is red, looks quite durable, made of metal inside and plastic outside, easy to clean by wiping it down --- do NOT put in washer or sink. Measures 9"D x 8"W x 4"H, uses 760 watts, 2.4 lbs, 120 volts. Spray inside with oil, crack two eggs, mix that and pour it in, close the lid and wait --- add cheese, bell peppers, seasoning, bacon bits/meats, etc etc to make more detailed omelets. Makes two big omelets, fills you up! Eating this for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you know it's fresh and no extra preservatives, so it's healthy too. If I can do it (and I'm super lazy when it comes to cooking/making anything...airfryer girl here), you CAN TOO! Recommend A+.

Needs better designing
The Holstein Omelet maker is much like a waffle maker, but smaller and hardly constructed as well. After several uses I have developed some opinions about it, both good and bad. The Holstein Omelet Iron is certainly not the answer to making the perfect omelet, but what it does produce is almost certain to be accepted by the kids, and is unique and tasty, and fun to eat. The omelet really doesn't resemble an omelet that's made on a griddle or in a pan, and is more likely to be found on the breakfast menu at a McDonalds or some other take-out breakfast place. With some imagination, one can turn out an egg, cheese, and bacon omelet that can serve as an entire breakfast. But the results are second to a conventional omelet and it really takes more effort to make using the Holstein than simply rolling up an omelet on the griddle. But, who wants to fire up the Blackstone for one omelet? Probably nobody. But then again, using a frying pan would be quicker and easier than using the Holstein Omelet maker. The omelet maker is still more fun, and it's probably all up to how well your conventionally made omelets turn out. My first use was an immediate hit simply because I followed the directions exactly, and everything turned out well. On my second attempt however, I forgot some of the directions and ended up with egg all over the inside bottom shell of the omelet maker and all over the kitchen counter. This could be problematic enough for some people to either return it or throw the omelet maker away since the egg will harden and contaminate the inside of the bottom shell. However, the bottom plate can be removed for cleaning. This is not advised and you might wish you had never started. Doing so will also likely null and void any warrantees on the Omelet maker. Just be sure the omelet maker is unplugged from the power source so at least you can't be electrocuted. All of that nonsense can be avoided simply by following the directions listed in the Holstein Omelet Maker Manual: Rule #1, follow the directions exactly and you should get excellent results. If not, then read Rule #1 again. Rule #2, This iron is HOT! Only touch and lift the lid by the painted surfaces using an oven mitt. The top piece of chrome metal is also very HOT! and takes a long time to cool down after turning off the power. Avoid touching it! Rule #3, Never pour more than two eggs into one mold. This will allow for proper expansion without any of it running over the outside edges of the iron. Rule #4, This is not a toy and some kids are smart enough to learn how to use it correctly. I would caution that unless they can follow directions perfectly and are very mindful that this omelet maker can burn them, then it is better to store it out of sight and it is only operated by an adult. I also spent some time on how the design could be improved. This is far from being a professional piece of cooking equipment. With a little more thought in regard to what could go wrong, one additional provision in construction might prevent any overflow from the mold to run into the bottom shell. A built-in molded disk of high-temperature silicone situated under the bottom mold and creating a seal around the outer edge might be the fix to prevent liquid seepage into the bottom shell, but will probably still spill onto the kitchen counter.

It’s rated for 60Hz/120 V (usually the Americas). This ought to have been mentioned in the product details as it’s likely to burn/blow up if plugged in directly to UK power supplies. The plug is also 2-pin (not 3-pin). Opt for the Tower Deep Fill Omelet maker instead if your country’s power supply is 210-240 Volts.

Selling voltage appliances in the UK.
The product was sold on UK Amazon and charged in Pounds and it was an America appliance and olny works on 110 volts. Useless. The Seller could and put this in the description. Very unhappy.

A must have kitchen product
Excellent product that makes me wonder why I didn't buy an omelette maker years ago. Easy to make all kind of omelettes and not only, easy to clean and can make two omelettes in one go! I had a few questions for the seller and the customer service was impeccable! Completly recommend!
