exactly what I was expecting. i did have to cut it in half to use for my purposes and therefore it got really weak and can't support the sword I bought it for very well but I really only got it for adding aesthetic purposes

Got these for making little organiser pull straps. Nice feel strong soft too. For smell I would describe it like a the smell you get from Nike/Vans brand new shoe. Some may be fine with it for wallet or other may prefer veg tan smell.

Good for laser engraving
I have only tried a test pattern on the leather with my laser but it came out well. I don't see any problems using this for future projects that call for leather.Note: if using a laser with leather be carefull and make sure that all of the fumes are properly exhausted so that you don't breath any.

Beautiful versatile leather strap
I received the 2inch leather strap roll wrapped in saran wrap. It smelled like genuine leather. I got this to create straps for handbags, luggage’s, etc. The material is really nice, thick and sturdy to haul bags. I also am going to use it aesthetically by sewing/gluing it to a luggage bag to look vintage. I’m working on sewing the strap. From what I learned there are special tools to sew leather. Regardless it fits my needs and is a beautiful brown color.

VERY NICE Sample Of Leather
This is as advertised, but mine is longer than the ad predicts, at a total of 76". It appears in every way to be real leather, right down to smell. I am not an expert, except in owning my share of leather items (ok, much MORE than my share...) but it would be ideal for crafting belts and bracelets, hat bands and key fobs.Original price on this was $5.99, which was a steal. Even at the higher current price of $8.99 it's a very good place to start for a nice piece of leather.Absolutely recommended.
