“Protected, planet-friendly, and ready for sunshine.” So, as most of you know, I’m all about that eco-friendly life! 🌍I’m really excited about this product and I’ve got to tell you about Happy Ocean! They are dedicated to protecting our skin while also keeping our oceans safe. Their reef-safe, non-toxic mineral sunscreens are a total win! I love that they use plant-based materials, and it makes me feel great using it on my toddler! The price point is a little more than your banana boat but the ingredients are much safer! Plus, a little goes a long way, and you’re helping marine life while you’re at it!

So far so great! Easy to spread and Relatively easy to shower off. No breakouts but I only used on body. I have a special one for my face.TINT: Probably going to look different for every skin tone. Was pretty pinky instead of tan. I’m very fair skinned and it was like a tan pink on me. My husband is darker skinned/ Cuban and it was pasty on him but WAY better still than straight zinc with no tinting.Will report back if I have any additional thoughts in future!

Seeing as this tinted mineral sunscreen is EWG approved, and it gives me just as much coverage as my foundation, I think I may be switching over to just this! As with all mineral sunscreens, it’s drying, so I put a layer of tallow underneath, personally. Tallow also makes it lay on my face nicely (getting flakey and sinking into crevices is a common complaint, but moisturizing first in this way seems to solve that problem). So why just 4 stars? While I lucked out with the tint matching my skin color, I can see it not working out for everyone. If this brand would really like to see their product take off, I’d recommend developing several shades of tints. Even 5 different ones would at least give people options. I hope they figure out how to do it in the future! Who wouldn’t want a non-toxic, environmentally friendly, two for one sunscreen and foundation? They’d sell out like hot cakes!!

I've been on the hunt for a non-toxic tinted mineral sunscreen for my face for daily use. This product makes my face sting and burn when applied. The color is also very pink/rosy and my skin tone is more of a yellow skin tone. I applied it to my shoulders as well, and didn't get the burning sensation on my shoulders, so I will likely use this bottle as a body sunscreen and try to find a different brand that I'm happy with for my face.***********UPDATE: I was contacted by the seller regarding the above review, and they offered me a full refund. They also said that they appreciate the feedback regarding the product since they are continually working to improve the product. I would be willing to try this item again if they release a re-formulation that addresses the issues described above. Thank you Happy Ocean for your great customer service!

Great product. It says on through swimming VERY well. It's even a little bit difficult washing it fully off. Appreciate the clean ingredient list. Just know it doesn't really go on sheer there is a slight white cast, even more so if you don't take the time to really rub it. But you definitely will not burn with this!

Be careful with this mineral sunscreen. I don’t have eczema and I don’t have sensitive. skin, but it left a rash on my neck five days after I removed it. It also left a white tint on my face.
