After Midnight

I've been using Manic Panic After Midnight Blue on and off for the past 15 years (literally half my life at this point) and despite formula changes I keep coming back to it. - I naturaly have medium ashy brown hair with ever-increasing silver streaks. This color shows up: dark brown with blues-green shimmer/highlights on untreated brown hair, medium blue to sky blue on untreated grey hair, a more subdued teal color on bleached (single process to dark yellow) brown hair, and the most brilliant and gorgeous cobalt blue on grey hair that's received any kind of bleach whatsoever (it opens the hair shaft I think). - Works best if you leave it on for at least 2 hours; longer is better, but with diminishing returns (tho I used to sleep in it with a showercap on towel on the pillow.) It's a conditioning treatment + gloss, so this is safe. - The amplified formula has decent staying power. It rubs off on pillows and clothing necklines for the first few days, dress accordingly and get blue pillowcases. Staying power is better if you rinse hair without shampoo or use dry shampoo if necessary. Oil treatments, castile soap, and vinegar rinses will strip the color out of your hair SO fast, which is good if you want to change colors.

It actually conditions my hair, as they say! I don’t bleach my hair underneath this color, I actually put it on over a dark chocolate cherry dye I use on my whole head. I put this midnight blue dye on the bottom third of my hair on top of the chocolate cherry dye. This gives it a really nice, dark blue - almost dark purple color - and the parts of my hair that are highlighted blond streaks get a nice teal color - it’s a pretty mix that I get lots of comments on! It lasts pretty well, but I need to wash my hair with cold water to keep the color - I also re-dye with this every 2-3 weeks, but it’s so easy! I just color the bottom 1/3 of my hair with this midnight blue dye……I put my hair in two ponytails, put the dye on, then put the ponytails in ziplox bags, tightened with hair bands, and sleep with it on - then rinse it in the morning. I love this hair dye! Soooo worth the money!

I've been using manic panic for years, but I've settled on this one being my favorite color. What I like: -easy to apply: I use a "paintbrush" looking brush with the rat tail handle from sallys, it makes applying the dye easier, and I use my gloved hands to smooth it out and make sure it's saturated. -color: It is a really beautiful dark blue, and when it fades, it looks great! Some colors fade out in funky ways, this one turns into shades of blues and greens, it looks really ocean/mermaid-ish to me. -lasting: I've been going about 6 weeks between dyeing lately. It does fade, but like I said, it looks nice when it's faded. Bottom line: favorite dye brand, favorite color from this brand, I'll continue buying this until I'm too old to get away with it. ;) I'm attaching a photo from the day I dyed it, as well as a photo after about 5-6 weeks of fading out (washing 2 times a week and using dry shampoo in between). I only bleached/dyed chunks on the top of my head along my part, but it still gives me a lot of blue in my hair.

When I received the product, I was surprised at how small the container was lol I should’ve checked the details, but I was honestly surprised by the fact that one jar was enough to fit over my entire head. It was SUPER easy to use. I literally just plopped it onto my head and worked it through. There’s no questionable smell especially considering it’s a vegan product. The only thing is that the color does run when I wash it. Like every wash. If I sweat and wipe it off, the color drips as well. It’s honestly worth it to me though. Its been nearly two weeks and the color is still all there. I tried box dye and the ion brilliance and they both suck compared to manic. The color would fade away within a few days. Manic panic is still on my head. Also another plus, I ordered the after midnight blue, but my hair came out more like a dark tealish type color. I was red the deep blue at first, but this color is even better. Of course, the previous dye on my head may have had something to do with it, but I’m super happy with the color. If you’re African American and wondering if you should try manic panic, I say you should. I bleached my head before I dyed it though. Oh and I still have a little bit of dye left over. It is DEFINITELY worth the money.

This was gorgeous when I first applied it. It is almost black in doors and very dark blue outside. I have naturally ash brown hair that I usually dye some dark or vibrant shade of red. I added chunky highlights using this product and had a lot of compliments. It faded quickly though. I thought that it would fade to a lighter shade of blue but alas it has faded to more of a purple/red (still pretty). I believe that it is because I applied it over dyed red instead of bleaching my hair before using this. I would recommend buying petroleum jelly to apply to your neck, ears, and forehead. This usually prevents the dye from staining your skin. I have used many colors of this product and although the true color only shines bright when you bleach your hair, I choose not to. I have had no problems achieving the look that I am going for every time I use their products. I usually leave the color on for a couple of hours.

NOVEMBRE 2021 (prime due foto) Ho decolorato le lunghezze dal parrucchiere e le ho colorate di blu, ho poi usato Blue Midnight per mantenerle. Scarica un po' e potreste avere del blu sul collo ma va via subito con dell'alcol. Dormite con un asciugamano sul cuscino. È un blu scuro bellissimo e lo consiglio se siete decoloratx, infatti come vedete a me ha preso specialmente sulle punte decolorate. OTTOBRE 2022 (ultime due foto) Stufa del blu provo a scurirne i residui con RAVEN, che ha preso anche sulla mia ricrescita mio castano scuro rendendolo quasi nero freddo. Non spaventatevi se sciacquandolo noterete del viola, il colore è giusto: un bel nero con leggeri riflessi blu mi sembra di notare, specialmente alla luce del sole. Ora, io personalmente lavo poco i capelli e con acqua fredda, quindi se devo dare un parere sì, queste colorazioni sono durature. Va da sé che se avete bisogno di lavare i capelli più spesso di 1-2 volte la settimana e lo fate con acqua calda scaricherà sicuro 🤷🏻‍♀️

MUY BUENO EL COLOR MUY BONITO

Il blu è fantastico ma non viene più via…difficile da scolorire e da coprire…se avete intenzione di tenerlo poco, attenzione!

Me tiño de fantasia desde hace mucho y he probado marcas y muchoss colores. Desde hace 2 años mi marca unica y preferida es Manic Panic. Por su carta de colores. Por su calidad. Por su durabilidad que es mucho mayor que otros (he llegado ha tener un color, aclarando con el tiempo claro, hasta 2/3 meses). Por la cantidad que trae en su formato. Y plr la fiabilidad de los tonos (muchos otros no tienen nada que ver con la publicidad) He probado rosas, morados, verdes y azules. Que destiñe las toallas y el cuello? Pues claro, es un tinte temporal. Otros manchan mucho mas. Que no agarra bien el tono? No estoy de acuerdo. Solo hay q saber usarlo, el nivel d decoloracion adecuado, el tiempo de exposicion y tipo d pelo Que se va pronto? Para nada. Ya digo q cuidando tipo d champu y acondicionador sin sulfatos y veces d lavado puede durar 2/3 meses. Que lo mancha todo y salpica? Para nada pues es cremoso para manejarlo con las manos. Asi q como siempre le doy 5 estrella. After Midnight es el ultimo usado, en una base azul celeste y turquesa mas otro lado negro. He de decir que me ha dejado un azul marino precioso. No negro azulado. Se nota prefectamente azul pero oscuro y frio. Incluso la parte negra sin decolorar tiene los reflejos

ottima tinta! non rovina i capelli, tonalità ottima, buona durata. Peccato che macchi qualsiasi cosa (mobili, pelle, piastrelle) bisogna fare molta attenzione!
