Would work in a attack
Luckily, I have not had to use this in an emergency. I keep it on my purse at all times. I tried it to make sure it works and it's very loud, it would be a good thing in an attack to yank off and throw. I could see it getting alot of attention. I haven't got it wet so I can't say how it would hold up but it's very durable so far.

Louder than a car alarm!
I bought this for my daughter who works downtown. It will most definitely gain the attention of passersby should she require help! It's LOUD and PIERCING! It doesn't seem as if it would be easily accidentally activated as you have to give it a pretty firm tug to release the pin. I like it! You can never be too careful. Every little thing helps!
