Buy The Infinite Game: How Great Businesses Achieve Long-Lasting Success 1 by Sinek, Simon (ISBN: 9780241295595) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Inspiring and practical - A wonderful book, packed with practical insights, real life case studies and deeply inspiring reflections that promote personal growth and development. Thoroughly recommend! Review: Business Leaders Need to Know if they are playing a Finite or an Infinite Game - The Infinite Game is an excellent book, I liked it so much that I purchased another one for my co-founder, Adam Gray. If you are in Leadership, Marketing or sales it is certainly a book to read. The book describes the difference between Finite and Infinite mindsets (different from growth and fixed mindsets) and provides a framework for companies to recognise which mindset they have and how to implement an Infinite Mindset. In Finite games, the rules are fixed and the end point is clear. “We are going to be a market leader or we are going to change the world”. In Infinite games, the players come and go, the rules are changeable and there is no defined end point. People with an infinite mindset build stronger, more inventive, more inspiring organisations. If you are in any role in leadership, culture creation, vision creating or marketing in either the start-up or in fact a business of any size, you should read this book.

Incremental progress on his typical themes
I like Sinek's writing a lot, and believe his core message in relation to successful businesses emphasising the human is an important point. And in the Infinite Game he adds another layer to this by suggesting that great organisations aim towards an unachievable but critical 'Just Cause', thus playing an 'infinite game'. In that they sacrifice the easy short term solutions (papering over the cracks) for the seemingly risky at the time (leap of faith) but necessary in the long term solutions. However, if you've read both Start with Why and Leaders Eat Last you will see that this book is an incremental step forward instead of a massive leap of focus. His returns to similar anecdotes that have occurred in previous works, most notably the Microsoft vs. Apple Executive story in relation to the iPod vs the Zune. Although the chapter on existential flexibility and his writing around Walt Disney's life is fascinating and some of his best work to date. TLDR: If you've read Start with Why and Leaders Eat Last it's good but not essential reading. If you haven't it's great book and definitely worth reading.

It's not about winning or losing.
If you want to build something bigger and more meaningful than yourself for it to last beyond your life time, this book is for you. We often focus on winning or losing and got lost in why we started it in the first place.

Sinek's best to date. A really important book.
I have just finished reading @Simon Sinek’s new book, The Infinite Game. In my view this is by far Sinek’s best to date and is a very important book. It addresses the importance of business purpose and business ethics as well some key issues in political economy. And it does so in a way which is very accessible to busy and pragmatic business leaders. I think many will find this a more practical and realistic book than say @Frederic Laloux’s Reinventing Organisations. I also find that book very inspiring but it is utopian whereas I think Sinek’s thesis is essential. Anyone who wants to see capitalism save it from itself and more importantly to understand what business leaders need to do to save Western liberal democracy from resurgent populism and Marxism should read this book.

One of the most Valuable books I've read.
The value that the book provides is so big that I'm glad I read it and that we have people like Simon who go after this meaningful topic and vision. For business as well as for life, there is no bigger vision than the one provided, we are just here for a certain period of time, but what you leave on Earth for others and the example you give is something bigger than anything else. I highly recommend this book, and if you are looking for meaning in life, this may give you that starting push.

Marks.
Book contained marks as it was the bottom of a tower of books. Would have been nice to have cleaned it or chosen a cleaner copy.

Simon never disappoints us in all of his books. Each and every time, he uplifts us to march forward feeling inspired, empowered to dream more, do more, become more for the better. In this book, a powerful perspective is from Chapter 9 about the Worthy Rival. Boy, you’ve won me over with this fresh and critical perspective! Thank you Simon!
