I'm in love with this lamp! I have higher ceilings, and I love the up-light for general lighting a lot of the time. This one gives so many choices of shades of white and colors as well as brightness levels that you can create the exact mood you want, say darker for watching tv at night, or bright for tasks. The way you can bend the light down is perfect for lighting something that you need to see details. You could create a highlight with it in a corner, and change the ambience with the light choices. It would also be good for doing some photographic tasks, like taking shots of a product you want to sell online. It's nice quality for the price, and I love the updated modern look of it. I've already purchased a second one, and I am honestly looking for other places in the house where I could use this to swap out my other uprights, because this is so versatile and stylish. It was incredibly easy to assemble, just screwing the tubes together. Do watch one of the videos where a woman shows you how to use the remote to change the colors without using the strobes or fades. It's a simple touch control, so there's nothing complicated once you see how. I like it!

I like the reading and sleep buttons since they make things easier. It’s worth it, I’ve had a few lamps from Amazon before, but so far, this is the best one. The cool thing is that you can put the controller anywhere else, because it's magnetic. It is a tall lamp, and sturdy, I am not worried and it falling. I don’t have a light bulb in my room, It’s just an architectural flaw, but it’s a really good job of lighting it up.

I was looking for a light to put in one of our spare rooms, and stumbled across these things. There are a host of them online, and of course I was bargain shopping to see which would be worth my money, and not result in a return, which is how I stumbled on this one. If I remember correctly it's not the most powerful in terms of lumens or brightness, so I was a little skeptical of what it would look like, and how well it would like my room. Let me tell you that this thing is absolutely powerful enough, and dare I say just the right brightness. I now think had I bought a brighter version it would have been too bright for the room.. though you can dim these so maybe that's not relevant. It is definitely better constructed than I anticipated. Mostly metal and properly waited at the bottom I'm not worried about this thing tipping over and breaking. And those simple, it's sleek look it's pretty cool and gives a modern feel. Because it's constructed with I believe three threaded connectors, this thing is super easy to put together! And the remote control works from a good distance and it's very responsive at the touch of every button. Not to mention it's easy to figure out. Value for the money? Don't hesitate, don't bother going to the store, I do recommend buying this thing right now.
