Children easily get bored with a single item and so I wanted something modular that had multiple permutations and combinations. At the same time, the toys needed to be safe, without any harmful chemicals or small moving parts that she may accidentally swallow. With that in mind, I went shopping for a lego-esque building block set. On a trip to a Landmark outlet, I came across this product. It is made by Fischer price which is a well known and reputed brand worldwide. There are multiple variants of this set, that come in pink, blue or multi-color combo.I got the Blue one, which actually has pieces of every elementary colour.__________Packaging:-----------------The item comes very well packaged in a decent size Amazon cardboard box containing air pockets to ensure safe transit. Inside you'll find the mega blocks bag which is a sturdy plastic bag that opens at the top via a circumferential zipper. To lift and carry the set, there is also a soft plastic handle at the top. The zipper, the handle as well as the bag are of good quality.___________The contents:--------------------The bag contains 80 assorted building blocks, ranging from single 1x1 unit to 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 2x2 units etc. There is also a main base unit that can be used as foundation to build up modular structures. Also supplied are 4 wheels which can be snapped on to the base (and your kid can design a mobile unit like a car) The pieces are more than adequate for a small child and he or she can let his/her imagination run wild with different permutations and combinations to come up with unique structures everyday.________________Quality and Safety:----------------------------Needless to say, when we get something for our children, one of the first things we want to know is whether the item is safe for them. Well, after seeing my daughter play with this for many weeks now, I'm very happy to report that these are excellent blocks, designed impeccably. These are certified free from harmful chemicals or lead/other heavy metals - practically food grade. There is no smell, no residue, chips or flakes on the blocks. Each edge and angle has been rounded over with care, using precision manufacturing process. The material is a soft plastic, firm enough to retain shape, but soft enough to not damage her gums or skin. It is soft but strong, and I have inadvertently stepped on these blocks numerous times and realized that they have never cracked or broken. Also, unlike Legos (which I was initially considering), they are much larger and impossible to swallow/aspirate by mistake - much safer than the tiny lego pieces, in addition to being significantly cheaper. 5 star to quality and safety!Additional info: These blocks are manufactures by Fischer Price in Canada and imported and marketed in India by Mattel._______Verdict:------------Bright, colourful, sturdy, safe, high quality as well as affordable toy set for your kid. Got it at a good deal. It includes 80 mega blacks. The blocks are sturdy. Initially got it for my one year old. She used to hold the blocks in hand and put in mouth but never played with them much. When she grew up to be 3 years old she actually started building towers and other things out of it. I have also bought the fisherprice blocks with wheels, so she normally combines with them and makes cars and trains and movable things.Pros:The quality is really good and very durable.The blocks are big enough and hence no choking hazard for kidsIt is nice for Ur little one who is just learning how to build with his own two hands. It helps them stimulate their imagination and learning skills while encouraging discovery, fine motor skills and open-ended play.It includes a storage bag to keep all of the pieces securely in one place and comes with a hand-strap that makes carrying the blocks easy.My kid plays with it, and then has learnt to keep them back in the bag, even after 4 years all the blocks are intact and now my second baby is playing with then.It is a perfect gift for a one year old and I have bought some to present friends as well when I got it at a deal of ₹700

Pros:- Build Quality is awesome- Colors are bright. Kids will enjoy it- As the name suggests, it is really MEGA BLOCK. No need to worry about choking hazard in small kids.Cons:- Heavily priced item- After usage of few times, grip between the blocks tends to loose.

Wonderful blocks, advertised as 80 pieces but i got +2 additional blocks! Primeday deal bonus? anyway the product delayed by one day but its ok at-least came intact so no issues.Pros:1. High quality plastic, can bend a little to absorb the pressure by stepping on it but wont break thats how it feels anyway i tried it with my hand and it seems taking it, all blocks has enough grip to hold not too tight or lose just enough for kids. Each blocks has its own ''Mega Bloks'' name embossed on it.2. As the name suggests its all mega sized blocks with no sharp or rough edges to be seen i have checked each every block and its all the same smooth finish, another main advantage of this mega blocks no need to worry of kids try to swallow it there is no way they can swallow may be they can try to chew it but given the plastic are of excellent quality so its a tension free toy.3. Its colorful and came with good quality bag and a handle to carry.4. For less than 1000/- (Deal) its worth the money paid, its designed and made in Canada not China!No cons as of now. Will update if anything so.--Highly Recommended-- better than small sized blocks.
