Fluval A1175 Air Plastic Control Valve

Ok, firstly, this is a perfectly useable little valve. It gives you the ability to turn your bubbler on, or off. I was hoping to use it to regulate air flow to my little air stone in my tiny Sea Monkey tank. They need just the very slightest trickle of bubbles, otherwise they can't properly function. Too strong of a current keeps them from foraging, especially the immature ones. I ordered a mini USB air pump and it didn't come with any kind of control valve so I thought, for the price, I will give this one a try. There is no finessing this thing. No matter how careful and delicately you play with the valve, it will snap to either a full air flow, or cut air off completely. However, this valve is perfect if you don't need that level of precision. I will keep it in case I have situation where I need it, otherwise I will try to find one with a screw type valve. To summarize, great product in the right application!

Works fine. Cheap piece of plastic that does its job.

For $1.49 don't expect a wide range of flow rates. As other reviews have noted, the small plastic valves clicks to either a full throttle, medium, or off position. There's not much room for other micro adjustments it seems. Otherwise it works well, if you enjoy those settings. I think it's fine. Gave 4 stars only for price. Otherwise 2.5 stars for function.

I have two fish tanks and I always feel like the bubbles blast too hard or the water flow is just too much for my fish, so this little gadget is an easy fix. You just cut the air hose and stick it in and re-connect. It works and my fish are happier with less turbulence in the water.

It works for what i need it for. I have it in a small 5 gallon tank with a betta. THe control isnt great. Its either a medium amount of bubbles or hardly any. or off. Theres not really a verity to go on.

I am using this on a small nano air pump and it works great.

The media could not be loaded. All I had to do was cut the cable, put the valve in and adjusted as I needed it. It is a little hard to get to a low flow (I will add a betta in my tank) so you just have to be patient, but it does the job :) Very happy with the results.

Should have listened to the other reviews. This is basically an on/off switch. You are not really able to control air flow much at all
