Thirty-year-old Claire Gautier works as an assurance assessor. She leads a peaceful life with her husband Fabrice and their little daughter, Pauline... Then Claire meets Laurent Kessler, a veterinarian who comes to see her about water damage in his apartment. So begins a story of love and terror. Laurent is a seducer, or rather, an obsessive woman chaser. But, with Claire things are different. No doubt because the young woman senses a dark side to his personality that he tries to keep hidden. Women have been murdered by a man who is spreading terror through the city. Claire can't stop herself from making a connection between Laurent and the killer. And yet, as her suspicions become even clearer, she becomes more and more attached to him. Will she be able to escape from this spiral of fear and fascination? SCREENED/AWARDED AT: Ceasar Awards, San Sebastian International Film Festival, ...In His Hands ( Entre ses mains ) Review: How bad can a film be? - Dear me this is a truly dreadful film. It lurches from one 'no that would absolutely never happen' moment to another and leaves the viewer feeling simultaneously insulted at the amount of nonsense he is expected to swallow and seriously irritated at the willingness of the writer/director to present such drivel. Not saved for a minute by less than convincing acting although in mitigation the entire cast must have known very early on that this was absolutely unsavable. Don't waste your time. Review: De loin, mon film préféré. Je l'ai au moins déjà vu dix fois. Benoît Poelvoorde est juste extraordinaire. Les rôles dramatiques lui vont si bien. Isabelle Carré est tout en sensibilité. A voir et revoir !

This is an "excellent" film of the noir genre. It is as other reviewers have noted, a suspense thriller. My wife and I did enjoy the film, and it has talented actors and a superb director, but be forewarned, it is something of downer.

A conseiller vivement!

très bien joué , beau face à face entre 2 acteurs. Une histoire d'amour psychologique sous fond de thriller. Isabelle Carré joue tout en pudeur et retenu .Poelevoorde excellent dans ce rôle psychologique de tueur de femme ....
