If you're looking for a reliable grip tape, the Mr. Pen grip tape is a solid choice. It's made from waterproof silicone carbide, so it won’t peel off easily, even after heavy use. I know because I put, I was able to use it on my pistol handle, and it hasn't come off. The roll is a good size at 2 inches wide and 23 feet long, and the black color looks sleek. I got this when I got a leg press. I wanted to add some traction to it. Durability has been pretty good. I think I’ve only gotten one small hole and you can definitely notice that it’s there and it’s helping hold your feet in place.

The tapes sticks well to surfaces like wood and the gritty side provides good friction to grip floors, carpet, and other surfaces. Since the sticky side is covered on the roll, the roll doesn’t hold itself together like other kinds of rolled tape. It’s easy to fix this with a couple of twist ties to hold the roll together when it is not in use.

I pre cut pieces as I went but it was difficult to get the back off on some of them. Once I got it started it was fine. Next project I'll get it started and try cutting it after peeling the back off so I can keep the roll going. It works and has held up through a couple rains. The seller reached out after my original review which was cool of them.

I applied this to the back of a ruler to hold it in place while using it as a knife guide cutting leather. Worked very well, no slipping, no inaccurate cut, no blood. Roll is large enough that I doubt I'll need to buy again but should the need arise, I will.Note: don't ask me to provide a false review for money or other compensation. I use this tape on a cart that had raised metal deck. It’s stuck very well to it and prevented the load from sliding on the cart. I imagine it would also work very well on stair treads.

With so many choices to choose from, I picked this brand, and glad I did, it hold great to wood, plastic,and metal, and the non slip is great !

Sticks very well to pontoon boat step. Could be a bit more grittier but definitely works
