Love product well made for home office

I love love my cabinet. It works well for my business.

The pieces were all bent in shipment. The metal is so soft that the pieces that you are supposed to bend you can bend with your finger and the pieces that aren't supposed to bend do so as easily. I got the cabinet together and now the 2nd and 3rd drawers don't open. To send it back everything would have to be packaged back in the orginal box and it would be over $60 dollars to ship if back, providing they would agree to take it back. I have a large rectangle of metal that is taking up space and is useless. I know have to find another cabinet for my mother. All in all, a waste of my afternoon. If considering purchasing this item save yourself the frustration and look at something else.

I do not usually leave reviews but I think one should get fair warning that putting this together is rather tedious and time consuming. I am not a handyman but I was able to put it together but it took me 4 hours. I saw that it required assembly but I had no idea a file cabinet could arrive in a flat box. Hopefully you're handy or you have someone that is handy or just commit some time to put it together. It is a nice product though.

Great purchase! Good size, and easy for me to put together. Like that all four drawers lock. And only one can be at one time.

I think they really understood the assignment on this product.For such a cheap price, the build quality is just enough that you feel the price is justified.That being said, I don't mean to to imply that the build quality is poor.I found no damage and things assembled exactly as the instructions said.I found the instructions clear, and the assembly reasonable.It's no IKEA though, and you end up doing things like bending the metal tabs by hand in the drawers, which are a soft metal and piercing holes with the machine forming screws. This felt like screwing into soft wood.Since everything is somewhat soft and just a touch flimsy, you do find yourself "flexing" some of the drawers to fit right, which, isn't surprising as you unfold the metal drawers to assembly them. This seems like a pretty creative solution to be honest.Overall, I will probably upgrade to something of higher quality but depending on the situation I'd by this again knowing what I'm getting into, especially if I needed a few of them but probably not for heavy use.It is better than the plastic box I was using.Some notes:- When installing the drawers into the cabinet, be sure to *unlock* the cabinet first. The instructions have you assemble the body of the cabinet in the locked position, which makes sense. This meant when I installed the drawer it wouldn't insert all the way. When installing the drawer into the cabinet, they comment that you have to push the drawer into the rails all the way and maybe use some force. This lead me to believe that the drawer not closing was caused by this and not the lock. Someone being to aggressive here could damage the drawer.- You may have to "flex" the drawers to get them to fit right.- Drawers are a bit shallow/There isn't much clearance for the file folders. If all the files are flat in their hangars it fits fine, but as some tend to be loaded more than others they rise up and touch the top of the cabinet. My previous filing cabinet was deep enough where this was never an issue.- Because the metal is so soft/flexible, even when locked you can bend the door open with your hands. If someone wanted to break into the cabinet I'm sure they could without any tools.
