inexpensive option
nice item for the price however the plastic is is a little thin around the middle and the lid is extremely hard to turn off and tighten and the rubber o ring that seals it doesn't fit very well and I couldn't get a good seal but if you looking for a cheap option to get started in wine making this will do

Flimsy but works
Works nice. Very thin plastic and the lid doesn’t screw off to easily since the jug flex’s a bunch making hard to remove my ferment bag. I don’t thing I’ll use in any high dollar meads but maybe beer just in case the jug can’t handle the forces or pressure required. Still nice to use instead of glass.

Great little fermenters
Great for small batch brewing of 3 gallons or less. Comes with everything for fermentation. Highly recommend.

Works
Overall a good fermenter. Do not move it around with an airlock on, the plastic is thin and it will blow/suck out your liquid. I kept the box and cut a hole in the top flaps to help with transport and to keep light out.

Melts easily
I appreciated the ease of use and cleaning the only time I got to use it. The second use, apparently my wort had not cooled enough, and even though I was adding it to cold water in the carboy, the flimsy plastic melted dramatically, rendering it unusable. Far too expensive for the quality.

Disappointed — Arrived with Severe Cracks, Check Yours Immediately
I purchased the FastRack 3 Gallon PET Wide Mouth Fermonster back in mid-September, but only recently got around to opening the box. The outer packaging was completely intact and showed no signs of damage, so I expected everything to be fine. Unfortunately, when I rinsed the fermenter prior to first use, several large cracks in the base became obvious — and it leaked at an extraordinary rate. The unit was completely unusable. Because so much time had passed since purchase, I’m now stuck with a defective product I can’t return or exchange. That’s on me for not inspecting it sooner, but it’s still disappointing for what should have been a simple, reliable fermenter. If you buy this, check it immediately for leaks or cracks, even if the packaging looks perfect. I would have loved to use this for small-batch brewing, but as it stands, mine never made it past the sink.

Quality heater.
Works like it should. Keeps 5 gallons bucket thawed for chickens. Heavy duty cord, good length. Would buy again.

Works fine, plastic is thin, I expected more robust. Bung and air lock are good. The seal is tricky to install, I did not notice any leak. Overall good product. For a good price, go for it.

I love the slice and weight of this unit, but during making my first batch I noticed it wasn't fermenting correctly. Now that I've emptied the bottle, I realized that the o-ring loosened and dropped to the bottom. I'm looking around to see if I can replace the o-ring but there seems to be no place to get the right size. Very sad because now it's useless.
